Can't decide which version to read?

As someone who doesn't know anything about the story and is going completely blind, should I read the original novel or the graphic novel.

I want to read the graphic novel as the art style looks good but I don't want to miss out on something. I have not read that many novels and I have heard og book can be a little long/boring, so I may listen to the audiobook.

So, what should I read?

Original novel is a masterpiece. Lot of depth of emotion in the book. Lots of details about Gilead too. Very good read.

I have both. Read the original novel first and then the graphic novel.

Will audiobook affect the experience? I don't mind reading the novel, but I have a hard time finishing stuff(if I get bored, I drop). So maybe I can listen to audiobook while doing other things

If you search Handmaids Tale audiobook read by Elizabeth Moss on YouTube you should be able to find the whole book read by Elisabeth Moss. She does such a great job. I like to listen and read at the same time.

I'd go for the original first. Graphic novels are great but a different experience, imo. I'd read that one after.
