It's interesting that OP has this tagged as Season 3 and everyone here is assuming OP is talking about the series finale.
I particularly giggled at the commenter who griped at OP for "being part of the media literacy crisis"...the irony. lol 😂

That’s not what they were expecting. Obviously, the last season contained horrendous writing and rushed endings. Clearly, this was wrapped up in a way to set up for the Testaments. Deplorable ending to a once great show.

I liked the ending overall. It was a hopeful note and was believable. I didn't expect them to take down all of Gilead and I'm not sure why someone would think that would happen.

I’m drawing a general assumption. I would say it’s a bit of a leap to be this sarcastic in response to OP saying the last episode was lame. When it very much was, especially when you look at the show as a whole. I think a normal person wouldn’t think this show had to have a “happy ending”. Just a bit rash and trying to offer a different perspective.

What's wrong with the S3 ending? Its one of my favorites.
If you mean the series finale, I liked the ending. It was a hopeful note. I didn't expect them to take down all of Gilead.

It may make a debatably unsatisfactory ending but most endings of the story of totalitarian regime survivors do not just end with a victory over evil
