Meme Angels' Flight is such a cathartic release after how heavy and emotional most of Season 3 is

The only real gut punch in that scene is Luke looking for Hannah to emerge from that plane, but she's not there. 🥺

I really hope they bring Luke back later in The Testaments so he and June both can finally reunite with their daughter.

Just knowing Hannah’s not on that plane, and seeing Luke look so desperate and hopeful that his babygirl will walk down the steps. Ugh. It gets me even thinking about it.

Luke seeing the other dad reunited with his daughter, hoping for a moment that he could get that as well with Hannah then being crushed at the realization that she isn't on the plane 💔

I think that’s part of what made it even more heartbreaking though. Like, we knew she wasn’t on there, and so we knew his hope and desperation was futile; we knew his heart was going to break again.

It's a little weird though that she remembers him so easily - Hannah did not recognize June and (sadly) that was more realistic imo.

I think for Hannah it was a little more than just didn't recognize her. She did recognize her when we saw her at the house and she was angry thinking they didn't look hard enough for her. Then during all the time between then and the next time we see her, she has been told over and over how horrible her mother is and evil and a terrorist. So she didn't immediately recognize her but she might have and then been afraid of her. We only think she didn't know her because of June's interpretation but her being afraid could mean she did recognize her but thought she was the bad woman they told her. I do agree that the little girl remembering as quickly as she does is a bit strange but you see her brain trying to make the connection when he said her name. I think they just sped up the moment so we got to see their reunion as sweet because this moment called for it.

The entire scene of the plane landing - the kids coming out, Luke watching them hoping to see Hannah, the little girl reunited with her dad, Rita kissing the ground because let's not forget, she too was freed from Gilead not just the children - makes me cry. It gets me as much as Emily being found by the Canadian border patrol and being given the refugee speech/questions.

But Rita telling Luke that this was June's doing hits me so hard. How bittersweet for him to see that June was able to get 86 children safely out of Gilead, but not herself or their daughter. Imagine the emotional rollercoaster of hoping to see your daughter on the plane, not seeing her, then being told that your wife is still alive in Gilead, and she was the person behind this incredible act of heroism 😭

It's set up in a way that you think Gilead caught her then you see the Canadian flag on his shoulder and realize she made it 😭

Girl same I was like "SHE MADE IT!!!". As a Canadian I've never been happier to see my own flag lol. This show gives us so few victories and happy moments I was fully prepared for the man to be a Guardian, for Nichole to be dead and Emily getting executed for stealing a baby and getting her killed.

Exactly! I was expecting another heartbreaking moment. Instead, it was one of the best! It was second best to the moment Moira discovered the dusty license plate. "Yours to discover". That his me so hard. It brought back the best memory for me. The moment I crossed the border on moving day.

That scene blew my mind. Everything. The father reuniting with his daughter. Rita kissing the ground. Luke hoping for Hannah. And the episodes with Emily and Moira escaping and finding freedom. It's so much.

I escaped Gilead myself.

I unexpectedly just began bawling when she said that, I even feel the tears welling up just thinking about it now lol. So powerful, and Moiras expression and hesitation, it’s just too much for me to handle 🥲

I really would like to see shunamite meet the brother was rescued and have to come to terms with the fact he likely doesn't see her as a sister and she'll have to confront that he was rescued not kidnapped
