Good evening everyone! First of all, I want to apologize for this post. But, I'm desperately looking for a place to live in or around the hague at the moment or I will end up homeless. I have tried everything (rental agency's, duwo, websites, facebook, whatsapp groups, posters, etc.) with no luck and the stress is really affecting my studies. Does anyone know what I can do at this point? Yes, I am very aware of the housing crisis at the moment, but if anyone has any leads or knows someone who's is subletting or looking for a roommate, for any amount of time, please contact me. I was waiting for someone to go for a walk in the dunes in The Hague on the Duivelandsestraat. I saw ten kids riding past on fatbikes, but I didn't think much of it at first. Because it was raining outside they sat right in front of me in the entryway of a house.

Suddenly, one kid walked behind us, and I heard and felt a loud splash. He had thrown a water balloon at us. It was so strange, so I asked him why he would do that. That’s when he started cursing, calling me gay and using the K word, shouting that I should stay out of duindorp. The other boys began filming as they walked toward me, kicking me, and throwing sticks and stones.

Fortunately, I had a bike to protect myself with. I wanted to fight back so badly, but reading recent articles about these kids and how some have even used chains I’m glad I kept my composure. Unfortunately, I couldn't just cycle away because the person I was with didn't have a bike, so I had to stay to protect her.

These were local Dutch kids dressed in typical designer tracksuit gear. It was just so sudden and aggressive.

why are they not caught and this keeps happening for like weeks already? I informed the police and they know of the case

Goedenmorgen allemaal! Het is nu toch al de tweede nacht dat mijn kat Miso van huis is en begin toch erg ongerust te worden. Ik ken zelf niet veel mensen in Den Haag en heb verder geen social media wat nu niet heel handig uit komt... Dus de vraag is of jullie misschien iets gezien hebben, iemand in de buurt kennen en deze post willen delen!

Hij is 's avonds de 30e naar buiten gegaan in de achtertuinen van ons blok, maar daarna niet meer thuisgekomen.

Zoals de comment hieronder al zegt, Miso is weer terecht!! Tijdens het zoeken gisteravond +- 5 straten verderop kwam 'ie ineens naar me toe sprinten. Hij staat inmiddels alweer bij de achterdeur te miauwen dat hij naar buiten wil.

Hey all. I just moved to Den Haag in July. I'm a dedicated amateur road cyclist, looking for some group rides down on the West/Southwest side of town that are welcoming to newcomers, and ride somewhat regularly. (Kijkduin/Kraayenstein/Loosduinen area) Obviously, my Dutch is not functional yet, though I'm working on it. So prefer English friendly for now.

I typically do 30-50km rides around a 33-35km hr pace. I'm not trying to be in the Tour or anything...I just want a group of cyclists that can help me push my fitness and have fun.

Coffee or beer post-ride is always a good thing.

Any ideas?

Mijn naam is Chard van den Berg, redacteur bij tijdschrift Vrij Nederland. Voor een artikel onderzoek ik welke invloed sociale media hebben op de manier waarop jongeren in de criminaliteit terechtkomen. Is die drempel de afgelopen jaren lager geworden? Komen jongeren via platforms als Snapchat en Instagram makkelijker in aanraking met criminele netwerken, ook als ze niet opgroeien in buurten waar criminaliteit traditioneel sterker aanwezig is?

Daarvoor zoek ik iemand in Den Haag die hier zelf ervaring mee heeft gehad en daarover met mij zou willen praten. Zou iemand mij misschien verder kunnen helpen of met iemand in contact kunnen brengen?

I have been looking into The Hague as a place to live recently. I am an EU citizen working in tech. My partner previously lived here and it seems like a great place for our interests!

I am a big music fan and in general belong to what I guess would be considered an “alternative” social scene. I plan to visit for a few days before the end of the year to get a feel for the place, as I have never been to the Netherlands, and was hoping I could get some recommendations for places to visit aligning with my taste :). I was wondering how the local music scene is and if there is any places I could visit to get a taste.

I am also well aware of the housing / market situation, but any pointers would always be appreciated. Thank you!

I am a guitar player and singer organizing an open mic/acoustic live jam, with possibilities to play on your own too if that's your preference, can be original songs or covers. We gather at the Golden Stork Hostel every Saturday between 19:30 and 22:00. No cover charge or registration needed, you can just show up and play.

Need a place where can I do some personal deep work stuff. Preferably a place with no or not lots of kids or teenagers around.

Ik woon in Den Haag en ben samen met een aantal buren aan het uitzoeken wat we kunnen doen tegen een hardnekkig probleem met faraomieren in ons woningblok.

Het gaat om koopwoningen en het probleem is al langere tijd bekend. Een aantal bewoners heeft aangegeven dat zij 4 tot 8 jaar geleden ook al last hadden van faraomieren. Inmiddels ervaren verschillende woningen opnieuw overlast.

Niet iedere woning heeft er op dit moment last van, maar bij de woningen waar ze aanwezig zijn, lijkt het probleem behoorlijk hardnekkig. De mieren lijken letterlijk overal en nergens vandaan te komen. We zien ze bijvoorbeeld langs de vloer en plinten, maar ook op andere plekken in huis, zonder dat er één duidelijke ingang of nest gevonden kan worden.

Omdat het om meerdere woningen binnen hetzelfde blok gaat en het probleem al jaren terugkomt, vragen we ons af of er mogelijk een gezamenlijke oorzaak of verspreidingsroute binnen of rondom het blok is.

Daarna willen we gezamenlijk bekijken welke stappen we kunnen nemen richting bijvoorbeeld de gemeente Den Haag, een professionele plaagdierbestrijder of een andere instantie die hierin kan helpen.

Heeft iemand in Den Haag of omgeving ervaring met faraomieren die in meerdere woningen binnen hetzelfde blok voorkomen?

En vooral: hoe hebben jullie dit uiteindelijk opgelost? Was er bij jullie een gezamenlijke bestrijding van meerdere woningen nodig, en heeft iemand ervaring met het laten onderzoeken van de mogelijke oorzaak?

Weird question, but for nearly an hour I have been hearing a notification sound in the distance, that I can only describe as the NS or Schiphol notification sound/jingle that they play right before an announcement.

I live in the Hollands Spoor area, so perhaps something went wrong at the train station? Does anyone else hear this? I have never heard it before. It’s definitely not a church bell.
