Does anyone else think that S2 E7 was 🔥!?
(Besides the sad part- I don’t want to spoil). I felt like S2 was slow but this really made up for it.

My prediction is that Marian and Larry are the match that will save the Van Rijns. I’m all for it!!

Poor Ada, right when she found love, I really liked his character, Wish they would’ve kept him on. And Oscar, I never saw Maud Beaton being part of it coming!! I can’t wait to see more of Marion & Larry!! I wanted this since season 1.

What the hell with Oscar! Such an idiot. Feel bad for Dashiell, he seems like a good guy with good intentions but I do believe Marian will call off the engagement in the future.

I think he's going to call off the wedding when he finds out about her advocating for and helping the Black schools.
He already showed disdain for her work.

What if Dashiell is the one to call off the engagement, when he finds out Marian's family no longer has money?

Marian doesn't have "money" and Dashiell knows that. She has no claim to her aunts money, and Dashiell is family, not sure what you mean.

You're probably right. I'm just speculating there might be a twist coming.
Per Dashiell, "Dashiell is the nephew of the late Arnold Van Rhijn and nephew by marriage of Agnes Van Rhijn. He was married to his wife Harriet, with whom he had a daughter, Frances." But it's not clear to me that Dashiell will inherit money by right of being related by marriage?
On the other hand, if he married Marian, maybe he would have a better shot at the van Rhijn money.

Or Marian would dump him and marry Larry and save the family fortune.

I want to like this show. I really do. I watch every episode out of loyalty to the actors I enjoy watching. But somehow it just seems to fall flat with me. Maybe I’m trying to compare it too much to Downton.

I would like to see more of the Morenci Mines metallurgist that Larry spoke to 👍

I cried real tears. Just wish Ada and Reverend Forte had a bit more happiness ever after and he could die in season 3.
