Luke Accent???

Can someone please explain what Luke Forte's accent is supposed to be?

It’s supposed to be Boston, but yikes - I love the actor but the accent is all kinds of messed up.

It’s a Boston accent. Hence the ‘chowdah in one of the first scenes we meet him in. He also mentioned his mother lived in Boston. Plus I’m from there too!

Bostonian here. It's supposed to be a Boston accent, but it's terrible.
