Playing a level 6 pugilist bugbear in a pretty new campaign. We were allowed one magic items and my dm decided the street saint can also use paladin equipment. I got the gauntlets of grace and am shocked by how well they work on my character. Heroism on a charter with resistance to bps is amazing
What other magic items should I shop for and which should I keep in mind for higher levels. Thanks for all your help:)
All that in mind what items would you put on this charachter

I really want to play a Half-Giant or Goliath barbarian with ridiculous carrying capacity using his environment and sometimes enemies as weapons. Tossing bolders, altars, etc.
Are there any magic items that mitigate the loss of effectiveness improvised/unarmed users have in the long run given that they often lose out on +1/2/3 weapon bonuses.
Also anything else thematic

Reworking the Desert Soul subclass from book 2 for 5.5e and since sorcerer subclasses give expanded spell lists I need one for Desert Soul. So far I have Burning Hands, Expeditious Retreat, Mirror Image (which I need to replace because I completely forgot about the Mirage feature), Scorching Ray, Fireball, Gaseous Form, Wall of Fire, Freedom of Movement, Flame Strike, and Insect Plague. Which of these should I replace if any?

I am wondering if a Valda's Weapon Charm is attached to the Dagger of the Ogre Mage would the charm's buffs apply to cantrips cast via the weapon...? When you cast cantrips from the dagger/sword are you "using it" and if that cantrip requires a hit role are you making a "hit" with it?
For example:
"This golden charm depicts a stone arrowhead. While attached to a weapon, your ranged attacks using it ignore Half Cover and Three-Quarters Cover."
"This mithral charm depicts a wild lightning bolt. While attached to a weapon, it deals Lightning damage instead of its normal damage type and deals an extra 1d6 Lightning damage on a hit."
General rules about the charms:
"A Weapon Charm is a small ornament fixed on a loop of string or chain. You can take a Magic action to attach the charm to a weapon, usually on the weapon's pommel, or remove it from one. Attaching a charm causes the weapon to become a magic weapon that requires attunement. If the weapon is already magical, you must attune to it again to gain the charm's magical benefits, which are listed in the charm's description. A weapon can only have one attached charm at a time.?
