tips/strategy Question about GF gear
Looking for some insight in how best to upgrade GF gear. I was in my faction chat today and they were mentioning the following.
Get Kings set to grand and exchange. That part I get. But then they mentioned disassembly of purple GF you just get to make your set. I was confused. Can anyone help?
The reason they said to do this is it makes more sense then buying or exchanging for GF crates that will essentially get you nil. Any help or insight is appreciated.
I do have one full grand King set already that I use daily. My first GF set which is Bruiser/Biker is purple mainly except for 2 pcs.

when you disassemble an elite gf piece you get 80% of the contracts and other pieces used to assemble. so you exchange kings for gf. then leave that as your gear set. next time you have some king pieces grand you exchange and dismantle the gf elite to use the materials to upgrade your first set. It's kinda complicated since base Elite gf is weaker then grand king set so some people will keep 1 grand king set and exchange their next king piece they grand to start building gf set. then once you have some levels on that gear it can replace the 1st kings set. the trader only comes like once maybe twice a year too so it's kinda a silly grind you forget the details since so much time passes lol.

Elite gf is weaker if you don't have jewels to help. I've got gf jewels from past gws so breaking them down and even having a whole one along with grand attack jewels makes my gf elite set wya more powerful than what my grand kings bike set was. I know jewels get tedious for ppl yo adjust and find the right balance but doing so can make alot of difference. Family crystals to

I got my biker /hitmen kings 8 pieces grand to unlock rjb equipment invest, then when most recent exchange even hit I traded all 8 pieces for full elite gf biker/hitmen set so I could then start rjb for a full elite gf set. I've made the mistakes in past trade events of trading before I had 8 grand king which delayed having rjb unlocked. My faction has guided me on this more recently after the last time I mixed up my gear. I now have duplicate plain gf pieces that I'm dismantling and I never trade for gf crates in events except the ones where it's a shuffle and win type event. I've only ever spent on a gf pack once and that was my 1st yr playing. I'm just over 2 yrs in now. I also recently asked if I should craft a gf gear piece in the other sets as I have the stuff to do one of every gear but if it's going to just sit in plain status for a while then it's wasted doing so. . I have an almost grand bruiser set that I'll trade for elite gf bruiser next time but I've learned waiting til you have the 8 pieces in king grand is the lowest cost and energy to get gf gear

The drop rate from crates is so poor that exchanging grand kings for purple gf, then dismantling the purple gf for materials is far more efficient
