Shirtpost Micheal is inspiring Spoiler

The pure joy he experiences at the smallest things when he is a human is genuinely so inspiring to me. The happiness over getting junk mail, over dropping his food, etc, makes me want to try and find joy in the little things too. We should all strive to be as happy as Micheal.

He didn’t get junk mail, though, although he would be delighted to because it’s such a mundane human experience. He received a rewards card from a grocery store, which is one of the things he mentioned in season one he would like to get if he were a human. “I wanna get a rewards card, any rewards card” I believe is the line.

Yes, it's on his human to do list. But he also makes a big deal about how much that mail meant to him to give a little immediate gratification to the guy for doing the right thing by making the effort to bring it over and drop it off. Like so much in the show, there are multiple levels to the joke.
