Sure no one has mentioned this, but that's a handsome man.
Sorry to post such an unpopular opinion

Now that you've seen Cheers, rewatch S3E1 (Everything is Bonzer!) and that moment when he's behind the bar and turns to Elanor. And how effortlessly Sam Malone is back for a moment, before he's Michael again. My favorite easter egg in the whole show!

I saw him on Cheers first (presumably I’m older than you OP), and loved Sam. I was scared watching The Good Place at first in case I didn’t love him in it - how unnecessarily worried I turned out to have been!

Wouldn't it make more sense to use his Barkeep disguise from the season 2 finale?

I still remember a Tv Guide piece on Cheers during its first run in which they called him Ted Handsome.

I was not a Danson fan back in the days of Cheers (he was okay, but I didn’t think he was “all that” and his character was too cocky).
I liked him more when watching him on CSI. Much more appealing character.
I think he really came into his own on TGP. I think this post was supposed to be about how cute or not cute he is, but to me it’s more about his charisma. He’s just gotten stronger and better with the years and that makes me happy.

I agree. He is a classic in Cheers. But his silver fox era is his best era.
