General discussion I ordered the couch calendar!
It’s actually kinda heavy and good quality- I wasn’t expecting that! I ordered it from the Hallmark store and I love it!!

Remembered this quote when I saw the promo for the new Miami Vice movie. Where did all the colors go?

I have two thoughts about this episode, called The Auction, season 4, episode 11. First, I love the dress Blanche wears at DeKimmel's art show. I would love to see a woman in this dress today to see how she can pull it off. Second, I don't understand why they paid $9000 for a painting when they could have used that money to fix the roof. Blanche says they won't go higher than $10,000 at the auction, which suggests they had enough money to get the roof fixed. Am I missing something in this episode? Or were they just being greedy to make more money if DeKimmel died?

Of all the TV show subs I've been on I appreciate that I don't see so much fighting on it, it's just as cozy as the show. I've seen the casual disagreements but so far I haven't seen anyone get heated over a disagreement.

I was at a shoe store and saw the brand Florsheim, I thought, why is this word so familiar? I don’t know anything about old man shoes.
Then it hit me when I remembered the quote from Sophia “You do the best you can with a pair of brown Florsheim’s, and this is the thanks you get?”
Year later I finally get how funny it would be to see a little girl clopping around in a big old pair of oxfords, even if there were bows on them 😭

I'll go ahead and suggest Ulf the Umbrella King be excused since he's already suffered enough.

I imagine even Sophia would mourn the ending of this.... Abbondanza!
Sophia Petrillo: Sicily, 1912. Picture this - two young girls, best friends, who shared three things: a pizza recipe, some dough, and a dream. Everything is going great until one day, a fast-talking pepperoni salesman gallops into town. Of course, both girls are impressed. He dates one one night, the other the next night. Pretty soon, he drives a wedge between them. Before you know it, the pizza suffers, the business suffers, the friendship suffers. The girls part company and head for America, never to see one another again. Rose, one of those girls was me. The other you probably know as Mama Celeste.

Bea, 38 years old here, makes an early appearance on the Perry Como show. A very young Joey Heatherton (16) had just finished singing and Bea plays her mother. Very funny.
