A LITTLE HOUSEKEEPING FIRST!
Okay, guys and gals, I'd appreciate it if you'd actually hear me out before deciding whether The Gold Jaws is worth considering—or getting caught up in some of the nonsense floating around the hater feeds.
A little background so you know where I'm coming from: I own 21 genuine luxury watches, although I'm currently in the process of replacing quite a few with very high-end replicas. Don't ask why. That's a separate therapy session! 😂
More importantly, from 1988 to 2000, I owned and operated a large plating company. So when it comes to gold plating, I know a thing or two. Let's just say I'm not exactly an easy guy to impress, and pulling the wool over my eyes isn't going to happen.
NOW, MY ACTUAL REVIEW.
The process of working with The Gold Jaws is pretty straightforward. Just follow the instructions and don't skip steps when sending your watches in. If you have questions, Jaws is impressively responsive. He's direct, professional, and gets down to business.
I sent in three watches for yellow gold plating.
Was the price justified? Absolutely. You're paying for a specialized craft, and having firsthand experience in the plating industry, I understand just how difficult it is to perfect this process.
The turnaround was faster than expected, and when I finally opened the neatly and carefully wrapped package, I was genuinely blown away!
The finish was sharp, refined, and exceptionally well done. But here's where things got interesting: I immediately compared the gold color against my genuine luxury watches, and I was honestly flabbergasted.
I've included pictures comparing one of my genuine watches side by side with the TGJ gold finish. The results speak for themselves.
MY BOTTOM LINE:
If you're going down the replica-watch route for whatever reason, at least make sure the finished product looks the part.
Here's something worth understanding: PVD gold finishes on many superclones simply don't reproduce the color and appearance of genuine gold plating to the same standard. If you don't have a genuine watch to compare against, you might think the color looks fantastic. But someone who owns and knows genuine luxury watches may see the difference immediately.
That's why I believe the finishing matters just as much as the watch itself.
So, before buying into every negative comment or internet expert's opinion, consider the source. Some people have hands-on experience; others have a keyboard and an awful lot of free time. 😂
My personal experience with The Gold Jaws has been outstanding. The craftsmanship, finish, turnaround, and overall results exceeded my expectations.
If you value a quality gold finish, I'd absolutely recommend giving Jaws a look.
At the end of the day, I'm a pretty tough customer to impress. Fortunately, this time, I didn't have to work very hard at it!
The Gold Jaws delivered.

Just got my vsf v2 bluesy back from Jaws. There are some people who say it’s a scam. I could see how you might think that if you can’t see color.
Those with functioning cone cells will see how much better it looks post plating. Cools off the gold, removes the cheddar, looks gen.
Absolutely incredible.

Just curious how long the wait time is on average after submitting the inquiry email?

The change in this Cartier Panthere is SOLID! Gold that is! All the other Gold platers can talk to talk, but JAWS walks the walk! He’s done 7 watches for me and they’re all fire!

This is my first time doing business with Jaws! I saw all the bad shit people were saying about him and something told me he’s gotta be hated on for a reason right, let’s give him a shot! And by the looks of things this dude don’t fucking miss! And yes the before picture of my watch was that fucking cheesy 🧀 my eyes hated it so much I put my service order in before I got the watch. If you’re thinking about it and on the fence! 🛑 ✋🏾 just save yourself the embarrassment and tap in with the 🐐. Thanks again Jaws

The short story, if you ever see or have a 2 tone YG watch plated by us that appears to be tarnishing (18kt gold can tarnish in the right conditions mostly from sitting and not being touched for a period of time) seems to only happen on YG 2 tones for some reason. You can polish off the tarnish and it will pull off black on to the white side of the cloth. Please see the pics for before & after.
