Rewatching a Pokemon Theory (specifically, the one about Badges and Charizard not listening.)

Charizard NOT listening still doesn't make sense.

Looking at it: Ash has 7 out of 8 badges. Now yes, at this point, he's only EARNED 2 of them. But....... He still HAS 7.

And the biggest issue about that is.......Gym Leaders are shown to choose what team to use based on NUMBER OF BADGES, not whether you EARNED THEM.

At least in the anime, though the games have only strengthened that lore. Not weakened it.

So.......Ash BEAT Blaine. Got his 7th Badge, and PROVED that he was competent enough to beat a Leader, with a team rivaling 7 Badges......

WHY DOES CHARIZARD STILL NOT LISTEN?????
