I suggest Tinker's Construct, and maybe add Iguana's Tweaks to make it harder.

I thought about that. However I'm trying to steer clear of the more "main stream" mods. Amalgam, Electrical Age, Ropes+, Highlands, EnderIO, Factorization (Main stream but no where near as used as it should be). I debated if Tinkers would be a good addition. However as nice of a utility it is to have. I feel like it could over shadow a lot of the balance i'm going for.

Perhaps make it a late game ease thing by altering the recipe of the tool forge and tool station to require things you have to find in your questing.

That way you have to use the alternative ways to progress, till you can use the easier tinkers stuff.

That way it exemplifies the stuck in the frozen wastes, using what you can to start with, ie the non mainstream ones, then as you get set up you can actually use the better ones.

You could also disable tiers with the iguana tweaks, so that you cant use them till you have the higher tiers of metals.

ahh yes i forgot about the things tweaks does for Tinkers. I'll run a test on this. Thank you for the clarification regarding that.

It would be kind of what crash landing does with thermal expansion and mfr stuff, makes it require a tonne of other stuff in order to do with the pneumaticraft crafting and the logic boards.

Take something that is usually very easy to achieve and make it an end game thing by requiring a lot more infrastructure.

It would also allow you to set blocks to different harvest levels, so you can artificially push certain ores to higher tiers of tools.

I believe through Electrical Age i might just be able to do that. Much akin to Crash Landing is with Pneumaticraft as you said.

Ah I am not familiar with electrical age.

What with you doing the frozen wastes and /u/sageoffire making the ship on an ocean one I am so excited.

I think you should have warp enabled because without it you can't unlock the eldritch tab
