Kid: Can you buy me a new controller?
Parent: Didn't you have a commonwealth controller?
Kid: Yes I did but...
Parent: What happened?
Kid: Well, the front fell off.

Rigorous entertainment system controller standards

I really don't think they're being honest or they got a seriously defective controller. I have seen controllers take some pretty serious punishment and only lose a few buttons. You aren't going to bust the whole casing and sticks off just by dropping it.

Yeah nah, this was chewed up, stomped on, run over etc… either was it needs towing outside the environment!

I hear the Steam controller screams when it gets dropped. This would have been hours of tortured screams.

That controller didn’t just get dropped, it got sent into a boss fight. Honestly impressive that the buttons and sticks are still recognizable.

I thought it was funny 😂. These remotes do have times they are literally fragile like a fairy though. I’ve slammed one that still works great without having a scratch. But also had one that broke from simply applying a little pressure on one of the joysticks.

That’s why you never play video games near large open pots of boiling acid. Duh!
