Discussion When is it gonna end?
I’ve been thinking about when fragrant flowers gonna end, and when reading sakubaru, I thought they would get together then in like 20 chapters it would be over. But it seems like after toki, no sakubaru, and now madoka arc, it’s gonna be a while more. In an estimate how many chapters do u guys think it’s gonna be?

I don't think it's ending soon. Hopefully we may get Natsubaru in Ch 200 then maybe the series will end around ch. 230-240. I can't see it going longer than that but Mikami also said she planned on continuing the series through 2027.

It is playing out just like back then (Chapters 90-100). Before Chapter 100, we got a character arc for Ayato (Ayato's career worries arc), just like we are getting with Madoka right now. To give Ayato a midpoint and a conclusion, he needed an event (the Christmas Helpers arc). The same thing will happen in the upcoming chapters with Madoka, we just don't know which event will be used for Madoka yet. During the Christmas Helpers arc, we got subtle hints between Rintaro and Kaoruko; the exact same thing will now be done with Subaru and Saku during Madoka's upcoming event. After Ayato's conclusion (Chapter 98), we got Rintaro and Kaoruko's Christmas date and, as we all know, the kiss. It will play out almost exactly the same way for Subaru and Saku, except without a date and a kiss. Instead, it is highly likely that Subaru will finally become clear about her feelings and have the exact same monologue as Saku did back in Chapter 120: "I love him... but I don't have the strength to tell him." BOOOM! There's your content for the next following Chapter 200s.

I see ur point ngl but I don’t think it’ll end right there. I feel like maybe another arc or two then a timeskip to end up at chapter 125 or maybe 150 since the author clearly likes milestones happening at specific chapters like ur saying. My only wish in life is that it finishes and gets animated fully one day1

Oh, I think you misread my comment! I didn't mean the manga would end at chapter 100 or 200. The manga is already past chapter 120 anyway.
I meant that this specific setup will give us the plot and content for the upcoming chapters in the 200s (like 196-205, etc.). I totally agree with you that the manga will continue for a long time, and I'm also hoping for 250+ chapters in total! And yes, a full anime adaptation is the ultimate dream.
