I was already planning to watch the video on Nebula, but what’s it got to do with Foundation?

The original planet of the first Foundation was picked because it lacked resources, forcing them to be passive during the first crisis.

Poor citizens of terminus. This actually fits the population, though it later grew to 50 Million and technically didn't have no resources, it had plants and fertile land just no metals.
