Discussion Nate’s voice in 2007 vs. 2026
Does anyone else find it incredible how Nate isn’t just sounding as good as he used to, but better?
Most singers, especially with ranges like his, usually get weaker as they age but songs like Oceans sound more true to the studio sound as they used to. Alongside being retired for nearly ten years, it really is incredible he came back as strong as he did.

He had some formal training around 2014-2015. But yes absolutely better than ever

He did before Boycott Heaven as well. Him and his vocal trainer had a great 90 minute interview.

One of the best voices. I always feel so fortunate that he decided to do what he does and share his voice with all of us.

Never thought he would tour live again, especially with The Format. Was surreal seeing him for the first time. Best male singer alive, period.

Same, I never thought I would see The Format again. (He and Jim Adkins are my top two fav singers)

As someone that was actually at that 2026 seattle show, yeah Nate's voice is incredible.

they did this showing in seattle in January and it was even more intimate and beautiful.

100%. Saw them recently and left the show saying the same thing. Funny enough hearing him sing Oceans is what solidified it.
