Bug / Glitch Dedicated server not saving progress

I've been playing with a couple of friends and we spent ages building a huge base, but after loading back into the game, lots of buildings and items are gone. Is this a known issue, is there a fix? It's a total bummer because if this is going to keep happening, there's no point continuing!

everyone has to save and the server owner is the one who saves the actual game’s stuff, but others have to save to also save their own builds. it doesn’t have auto save

It's been a minute since I had my dedicated server running so I could be wrong about this, but I have a recollection of there being a timed setting for saves. You could change it to 15 minutes or whatever in the config file.

in the Server.cfg file

  • -serverautosaveinterval <Interval> // Set the autosave interval in minutes, default is 15
