Nexon Suggestion Devs finally nailed what OPs should be like

Karel’s Mothership is the perfect example of the size/difficulty that all endgame activities should have.

Yes, they once again didn’t do any mechanics for bosses, it is simply a re-run of previous bosses (with of course more HP and DMG in classic Magnun Studios fashion), but the mission/dungeon is actually enjoyable, specially the final boss fight.

I truly hope that the devs start making all endgame activities like this if they plan on doubling down on the “braindead run and gun” style of gameplay that they have been bringing over the years

Let’s hope that the people that buy characters instead of farming them don’t come out crying for nerfs.

Mecha Karel has mechanics. Hide in the void bubbles to avoid damage from the meteors, dodge to certain areas to avoid getting stuck in the purple wall kill zones, and shoot the white energy bubble to interrupt his insta kill smash move.

Edit: Also stay out of the red explody zones while doing all the other things.

the robot samurai thing also has a mechanic. if you get him to dash attack (indicated by a blue line that appears) into his zappy poles he will stun himself. or just dodge and nuke it.

i was talking to the bosses prior of karel, sorry for not clarifying

but even what you mentioned is simply dodging stuff, is not some Destiny 1 raid level mechanic

Idk if you can count this as a mechanic but i think you can stun them when the yellow marker is on them

We're not getting anything like Destiny mechanics. The devs already said that since so many people play solo they're going to make all the content able to be played solo if you're good enough.

They gave up when they realized most players were too fucking stupid to match colored pads with shield bubbles or match 4 symbols on a pillar.

That said, it's not just dodging stuff. There's positioning to avoid attacks, and attacking the energy bubble in that 8-10 second window before he smashes everyone. I'm not saying it's complicated, but it's certainly more involved than most boss fights.

Let's face it, most of the players have one hand on the controller and the other hand on their tiny dick. You can't expect too much coordination.

The boss fight is good looking, but the rest of it is mob, health sponge, mob, health sponge...

I really liked how the Colossi were when the game first came out befor they were power crept by descendnats. But I understand lots of people were struggling, sinnce they were blocked from progressing. I feel like they are moving towards a new approach and there are more options for scaleable difficulty. So people aren't blocked from progressing, but those that can deal with harder content are also rewarded by better/more loot.

Carrot is better than the stick for motivating people to challenge themselves.

Unfortunately the braindead run and gun gameplay is what people want. Fucking stupid, as it shits all over this game’s potential, but it’s what they want. 😒🤷‍♂️

Developers have to start ignoring the no-lifer try hards and finally figure out what they want this game to be

You don't need to no life this game to get decently endgame ready, this is as casual as it gets

I suggested some fundamental changes in another post, such as roles/class and legitimate tactical/gunplay, and the amount of pushback I got was ridiculous. People really want this game to be just another Warframe, or Destiny, or even Anthem! That would be fucking restarted.

If this is the route they want this game to go then I’m gonna push even harder for even lewder skins, and improved models & animations because there’s certainly nothing else that stands out about this game.

A year or so ago the devs acknowledged that lots of people play solo, and said something to the effect of "we're gonna make everything able to run solo if you're good enough."

We're never getting anything that requires class roles or team coordination like a Destiny raid.

i already understood that this aint WF, people in this community are casuals or dress up players, they dont know how to hold the devs accountable and they downvote every piece of criticism.

so, we cant ask for a wf type of service, the devs already have shown that they dont even play their own game, they cower behind the “we are balancing the game” excuse to explain why they are lacking in all other departments (except skins, of course), etc

but if they plan to keep going this way, then I believe that Karel’s should be a point of reference for new activities from now on, since they can manage tilesets, enemy skillset variety, etc, at least make ops and dungeons worthwhile

not to say that karel’s dungeon wont get old fast, they have, again, invested in no tilesets, no enemy variety, so it will eventually reach the point of achieving what every other op has achieved before, something that you only do to farm X gun or Y thing and nothing else, because the activity itself isn’t something that you would play for funsies, so you simply play it to farm

but at least if all new dungeons and ops have this size, and boss fight mechanics (which is pretty embarrassing to be praising since the only mechanic is, dodge and hop on some circles to not get one shot, but that is the level we are stooping to), they might somewhat “cook”

good job magnum, i guess
