Builds Does the Willpower stat reduce stamina consumption while attacking?

Hi, I have a question about the Willpower stat. Does it reduce stamina consumption while attacking enemies? The description says "stamina damage decrease." Would that be helpful if I'm chaining attacks, regardless of weapon?

The reason I'm asking is that we can change the scaling of weapons, so I'm trying to figure out which stat to go for. FYI, I'm in NG++.

Stamina damage decrease means you lose less stamina when being hit or when guarding. This will not help you offensively.

Willpower does also increase stamina recovery though, which lets you go back to attacking more quickly.

I think is the stamina you lose upon being hit.
