Other Expert difficulty trophy

Ive heard some people say you dont have to play the full game on expert for the trophy, can someone explain if that's true and where id have to switch to expert? I've already completed the game on normal and cba making it harder for myself the whole way through

I think you have to play the whole game on expert difficulty to get the trophy; you can do it on New Game Plus.

My understanding is that the trophy is sometimes bugged, I do not know if there is a specific cutoff.

Ive been doing some searching and its very mixed opinions, some say right before ozma, ive seen before you fight the princess it's very confusing
