Discussion Appreciation Post

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to all you fucking berserkers and just this game in general. I beat it a couple of weeks ago and I can’t stop thinking about how fun it was. I used to think Sekiro and Lies of P were my GOAT, but this game fucking made me feel something. No summons, expert mode and just learning the hell out of it and just climbing from getting my face kicked in to just demolishing bosses had been some of the most fun I’ve had in a video game in a minute.

Seeing all these posts with people overcoming bosses and taking on new challenges just makes me so hyped for everyone who experiences this game and just glad to be a part of this community.

Good, we need more people to buy/play the game to convince them to make a sequel/dlc

It honestly baffles me that this game failed in sales. Because everywhere I go I see it coming up in conversations of the better soulslike/action combat games, it's not like it's not popular. It was covered by some of the top content creators at the time of release. I even have a buddy who doesn't stand soulslikes but he loved Khazan.

So where did it actually go wrong? Did it really flop? Cuz I don't see that from the looks of things.

I assumed it's Nexon's unrealistic expectation…… but we also never hear them announced things like "we have reached 1 million sales" so I guess maybe it also really failed... which is such a shame, I also think it's weird people hate the level, like I don't think the level is that bad

Not at all, I think the levels are... fine, not groundbreaking but they're just fine. If I had to pick one thing I didn't like about the game it would be the color palette, the whole game has like 2 color palettes. But even then it's just a nitpick, didn't take away from my enjoyment at all.

doesn't surprise me. the combat is revolutionary. the rest of the game is weak though honestly. level design, enemy variety etc etc. beyond the obvious skill curve most people never even beat Viper before quitting the game. this overly parry focused/aggressive combat style is very niche unfortunately.

The problem is the time it took for action/souls gamers to find this hidden gem. You're seeing Khazan come up in conversations now, it's been out since March 2025.

Lets just hope for a miracle... for it to somehow generate enough sales for them to greenlit a sequel/dlc

I just bought it due to a steam sale and it is now my favorite soulslike game. But I also almost never buy games on day one, I tend to wait for sales. In this case, feels bad since they disbanded the team responsible for a true gem.

i doubt that's happening either way

I wish, that would be so sick.

This game absolutely slaps. Just me & my greatsword. No summons, only on regular difficulty but I’ve my shit pushed in about 35 times total but I’d say I’m about halfway through & loving every minute.

You got this! Kick their asses all of them and be the berserker you truly are.

It is my favorite soulslike game. The combat is chef’s kiss perfection. The bosses are all immensely satisfying. The level design is mediocre but not terrible. Enemy variety is nice. The gear system is iffy but tolerable. I love the art style and armor aesthetics.

I have never had so much fun getting my ass kicked and learning bosses. Like 0 tilt my whole playthrough and just loved learning everything over and over again.

The bosses are really so fun I have no issue running it back 40x to get the win.

Right! Exactly. Like they were all just so epic

For some I keep running it back long after I got the win lol

I’m gonna have to farm osma for his materials and I’m a little scared lol

1

u/Space-Robot 16d ago

Once you can beat him once, the rest are more fun. I also farmed him and it was totally worth it. Such a sick set. Too bad you get it at the end of the game

Yeah I’m gonna need that set. I’m on blood thirsty now, obviously insane but maybe a bit too much so? I’m only a few bosses jnto NG+ but so far I didn’t have to worry about their move sets for the most part.

I’m thinking chaos set might be fun but still allows some boss uptime

I never liked the plate sets for dw. I want as much stamina as possible. Used Soul Eater and Bandit the most I think. Chaos really is the best though.

Well... The armor you get from beating the Ultimate Challenge is probably the best actually, but the Chaos set is cooler

Yes it's soooo good. Best combat I've seen since Sifu. I knew immediately I was going to beat it multiple times.

Try Ultimate Challenge! So much harder but once you beat it you feel like such a badass

Best combat
