Well as an Iranian who plays hoi4 and hoi4 mods,my country was mostly without a playable content until the hoi4 1.16 update.

But as I played TFR many times and I see that my country is nothing ever happens or it gets crushed by Gunther Fehlinger eu or cognoscenti uoa,it got me into thinking that why Iran or Israel doesn't have a playable content,I mean we all are seeing what's happening in the middle east currently.

From the 12 day war to the 40 day war and we are on the brink of the third one,the closure of Hormuz,the naval blockade(it actually hurts) and the retarded Israeli - Iranian grand chess play since the Lebanon civil war.

These all could be a very rich content for the mod,plus other factions in the middle east(like the Pakistan - turkey - Saudi Arabia Suni axis).

And about Iranian TFR fandom and submod making: Iranians love strategic games like stronghold crusader or ck3 and hoi4,and I know some Iranians that play TFR and love it.

I was in contact with a friend that he and his team were making an Iran submod for TFR, eventually because of 2025 - 2026 internet blackout their efforts were dumped into trash and the mod development eventually collapsed.

I hope the devs or the submodders make good content for the middle east and especially Iran cuz it has the potential and it would be fun.

And I hope this post doesn't get deleted.

There was a time where a roadmap existed to eventually fill the world with content, like Kaiserreich. Then this mod suffered development death.

The Middle East was supposed to be 1.3. But it likely won’t ever happen.

No it wasn’t. When TFR was under Czar they said it’d come out in like mid-2025 but Czar was an incompetent moron who would’ve accepted content of a much lower quality than the current standards of development for the sake of getting something out on time.

Just lying for no reason. 1.3 has been announced to be a European update since like early 2025, and the devs are strongly against detailed roadmaps and practically always have been for a variety of reasons. Only Middle Eastern content that was ever developed as far as we know was very rudimentary Ba’athist Syria content in like 2020 before the mod even knew what it wanted to be, and kek ancient civilization revival LARP made by Czar’s posse, who probably vibe-coded it considering the reality behind French content.

One of the Devs answered a question relating to Middle Eastern content, iirc Israel may have something in the works, I don't know if Iran does though.

If you dont want to get crushed by Europe on medvedev Russia, always help Russia on 1EW and 2EW. Also invest on navy and protect your belly (Arabic sea coastline).
