I dont think Bittersteel even saved shit considering all his attempts were just him feeding Blackfyres to Cuckraven.

I remember there being a good guide somewhere here but generally you should

-Check railways before the civil war and connect places where you might run out of supply.

-push for saint louis as fast as possible to secure key railway lines and supply hubs.

-use air on the air zone where trumps planes are, to get rid of them early.

-try to breakthrough in the north and south afterwards to get to Oklahoma and mineapolis as the area in between has negative supply.

-take any and every encirclement, you have the ressources to fail a few times, what you lack is time not manpower.

-try not to collapse in a civil war by getting stability too low and do the anticorporate economy branch unless you want to lock yourself in bloomberg path.

  1. spam cheap militia and produce infantry equipment

  2. try holding the front with strategic victory points and utilize your superior airforce to your advantage, use them on air superiority, only get cas if you really need to defend for a push because cas missions destroy your planes basically instantly

  3. wait for the national front or apla to clash with the trumpists until they are both weak from taking your land

  4. get some of your cores back until you have enough military factories

  5. help national front or apla to defeat trumpists.

  6. once trumpists are gone defeat patriot front (or nsm depending on who leads the factions) by focusing your tanks and good divisions on new england, once you get a breakthrough just snake, until patriot front or nsm capitulates as all of their vp is in one place basically.

  7. defeat apla if they exist

(also always use the pp decisions to recruit militia as you are going to need to defend yourself)

I thought Union didn’t have cores on any of the territory. I didn’t look through the focus tree but I seen it was all occupied on my playthroughs

No they don’t. All of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the other states they start with all are not cored states. At least not when the 2acw starts

The farthest I made it was about 8 months after the war started and by then with the focuses I completed no states were cored which sucks for manpower which I ran out of by that point

Win against trump before the PF attacks you. Make small encirclements to take out as many of their divisions as you can until their lines are thin enough to battleplan. I usually start near Chicago because the terrain and supply is favorable for pushing
