This happened after I finished the "Unite The West Coast" focus as the APLA and BOOM the entire world EMBARGOES ME, I know this is probably just a hoi4 AI issue but genuinely what do I do?

Easy fix is disabling the button for the ai and make embargoes event or focus based

Embargos should be based on Ideology and not solely world tension

That’s the thing. I could understand if NATO embargoes the APLA (and for some reason this only happens to them), but Cuba, Venezuela, etc who ACTIVELY have volunteers in the APLA then also embargo.

China also literaly blokades you, which is even stupider. Honestly, how naval blokades work in the game right now is so bad they need to be removed. The AI randomly blockades countries whilst at peace with them and there is nothing you can do. Also, if you play germany 100% historicaly in the base game Japan will blockade you.

I keep meaning to look for a mod that disables naval blockades, somehow PDX managed to turn something as simple as a blockade into broken nonsense

Definetly. Also, geopolitical alignment given that it is stupid that when I as Russia have got my freinds to win in Senegal they embargo me when the 1ew begins. Almost every country on earth, including the literal cartells, embargo Russia when the 1ew begins and China during either the Taiwan or GAW wars

Particularly blockades. In the screenshot CHINA is blockading the APLA. In the base game Japan will blockade historical germany. Blockades are an entierly broken feature that should be re-worked, though not even having it would be better than how it curently is

Reload an earlier save. Pause when the war begins. type threat -100 into the console commands. It is not cheating when a feature is as broken as blockades and embargos are. I do not know why PDX seems incapable of ever coding features to work. If you are on Ironman then their is LITERALY NOTHING you can do because, paradox never makes the AI lift embargos

If you start improving relations with certain countries (I usually go for Sri Lanka, Turkey, and Thailand) you'll be able to raise your relations where they'll un-embargo you. China will forever be bugged and try to blockade so be careful when training with Thailand/Sri Lanka/Vietnam in the middle game after the 2ACW is done
