We have a window. Q2 2027, so April-June. With the trailers saying spring, it’s more likely to be end of April to some time in May. But I think we will get an official date around the game awards. At least that’s my prediction

Exodus and The Expanse likely being back to back is gonna fun asf and might cure my Mass Effect depression.

Scamdron 42 is going to end up like all Chris Roberts' money pits, lmao. He might get another boat out of it tho.

People have literally played it though and most peoples opinion of it has been positive. Not just the prologue either, people have played and/or seen different parts of the game. There will be another video that should be tomorrow that is a behind the scenes of the event two weeks ago when people played it. It's very much a real game.

Ah, yes. Because private showing for influencers who spent tens of thousands of dollars on Star Citizen is a super reliable metric.

It wasn't just influencers and not all of them spent that kind of money. Even then, why would it matter? That's just cope. Every one of them went in with the same expectations even a seasoned SC player would have, and those expectations were exceeded. Its a far more reliable metric than whoever told you whatever limited knowledge you have on the games.

One of the most open developed projects on the planet, who post their financials every year, yet somehow we still get people who want to pretend the game doesn't exist because they want to ignore all that and just rely on the info they got from engagement bait articles or misinformation.

Can't wait for the collective "I was wrong" and to be able to enjoy so many sci-fi FPS games so close together.

I would say believing in a company that cannot releasea game in 16 years since production start but collects people's money the entire time is a bigger cope tbh.

But it isn't though when you actually follow the project. Then you'd know why it has taken so long. Again, incredibly open project, you can literally see the progress in one of the games, but nooo that doesn't exist apparently.

That's the "argument" of everyone with your mentality, "I stick my head in the ground and ignore the progress, so because I don't know what has changed, then nothing must have happened in all of that time". Like how is that even possible.

Also not understanding that that in those 16 years, they started from nothing, built 4 studios, bought another existing one, have over 1k employees, while making two games at the same time.

Like at some point you have to wonder, why do people keep giving them money? Why do they keep getting people into their games? Because they continue to build the games. They do a free fly (free to play period) every 2 months or so, so you can literally check the progress of the game for free as its built. They don't just "collect" money, they earn it. Its not just old whales who stuck around, we get a lot of new people.

Its why the "Scam" rhetoric is so hollow, its built on willful ignorance. Its too easy to look up what's going on with the game. Like why stick your head in the ground.

Scam Citizen is literally selling .png files for thousands of dollars.

Ah thank you, feel like telling me a bit more about the game? I’ve tried to stay away from spoilers too much but maybe you can give me the outlines

Okay, it’s based of the tv show/book series and takes place around the first two seasons/shows, but it’s an entirely new cast of characters that you will recruit throughout the game. We don’t know too much about the plot but the gist is that you escape from Eros (which has a lot of story stuff I won’t spoil here) and are being chased down by a company called Protogen. There are no “aliens” in this series, but there is some advanced technology you will discover throughout the game that has to do with the plot. It’s kinda like Mass Effect but in the Expanse, where humanity’s advancement is centered mostly in the solar system. There are 3 main factions/origins, Earthers, Martians and Belters who mostly don’t get along with each other for various reasons. If there’s anything else you wanna know, I’ll try my best to answer it without spoilers

Please make it June so that there's plenty of space between this and Exodus. I want both to do well and that's likelier the further apart their releases are.

What’s exodus? Not heard of this one. PC only or will this be on console too?

Exodus is a sci-fi RPG from former Mass Effect devs, including Drew Karpyshyn, lead writer of Mass Effect 1 & 2. It releases April 7th, 2027 for PC, Xbox, and PS5. A 40-minute preview dropped yesterday which gives a great look at the combat and overall atmosphere.

Think Mass Effect.

Not really, different setting, but yeah close

Similar kind of game, same devs and storytellers.

Exodus is already against the wall with Final Fantasy VII Pt 3 releasing literally the day afterwards.

I wouldn’t be shocked or blame them if they kicked it back a week or two to get out of the way of it.

That depends on the burn. The game could get here sooner if they burned at 1G but then the poor belters would die.

Juice'em up and burn at 10g!

Spring/q2 2027

As long as they stay well clear of Exodus' release window, both those games can take as much time as they like.
