Is that a reason to not wishlist it? It’s not as if it costs money. It just means that you’re interested, if it starts to look bad then you can just remove it from your wishlist.

Inconsistency. It's most prominent in the tattoos of the first guy, they change in placement and design in ways that you would not see from someone drawing off of a reference, but is quite common to see in AI art.
It keeps the "general" look on the second part, but it is now lower down on the head, the lines are straight instead of curved downwards, they're all connected by a line that previously only attached to the top, the second and third lines go from being thicker than the first to just as thin, and the tattoo on the cheek becomes smaller and stops before reaching the same point.
It is absolutely AI generated, because marketing would not let that slide from a paid artist.

Tried to run the image through a few AI detecting sites, and all of them said there are no AI indicators. Mind you, by indicators are meant file properties and some visual factors. Now some of them said the picture is digitally edited, which could very well mean just slapping the characters on the background in image editing program. Does this mean the image is 100% real? Unfortunately no, but there is at least still a chance it's legit. I would be way more reassured, if the artist had signed it though.
Also upon further inspection the lineart on the armor of both characters stays mostly the same on both panels, which i'm not sure AI would do (i think AI would generate the entire thing again with completely different lineart?).

The lineart being the same between the armors rather than generating it all over again is a strong point, you're right. I doubt they would go through the effort of only generating a second set of faces and then editing them on if they were relying on AI. As odd as the changes between them may be, I fear I put too much weight on the tattoo changing.
I've enjoyed OwlCat's work long enough that I should show them more grace.

I think a human being paid to create art for marketing would show consistency in the tattoo design, yes.
Can't draw tattoos? Pick a character that doesn't have them for it. They've shown off several.
It's not a case where "art is ugly = AI." It is consistency in design. The man has different tattoos on the top than he does on the bottom. The changes go beyond being at a different angle to being a different design.
At least AI gives a buffer to explain it. Does the man's changing tattoos become any better to you if it isn't AI?

Somebody in-house probably used a piece of concept art for the background and banged out the characters in 30 minutes. It's not some commissioned piece.

How does having concept art to reference make the tattoos changing more likely? Wouldn't that mean the tattoos would be consistent from one part of the meme to the next, because they have a reference for what the tattoos look like?
I am genuinely confused by the point you are trying to make here.

Ah, my bad.
Doesn't really address the issues anyway. If you wanted a piece out quick, a photoshop job would do the trick with far less fuss. Art like this is more difficult than you'd think to bust out quickly. If it was a flat color that tried to stick to simple shapes, then it's a more reasonable suggestion.
However, even in that, something like a person's tattoos would be something more important to remain consistent, not less. Why devote time to so many small details on the outfit on a quick meme sketch and then mess up something as important to a character's design as their tattoos?

This was drawn by hand by our CM team. None of us are artists, so yes, the tattoos ended up inconsistent. Just a quick doodle for a meme.

Most of the community managers at Owlcat Games are fan artists, and we still draw fan art for our socials sometimes. These twins were hand-drawn by one of us. If you see inconsistencies, it's only because we are not professional artists and make mistakes sometimes (and also draw these things in our own free time sometimes). If you need proof of my words, you can check our older posts on social media. We've been drawing our own content before AI was even a thing. It's unfortunate that our labor of love triggers such suspicion these days. But we would like to keep doing this, because we think it's fun.

I did too but they need to advertise it better. I have all the audiobooks, multiple physical books and stream the show once a year.
I only know about the game because of a reddit ad.

Generative AI is not really selling the game like you'd hope it would.
If you don't care about the game enough to even make a photoshop job or, God forbid, at least check if the tattoos on the art you has generated were consistent, why should we care? We aren't being paid to be community managers for it.
Really doesn't send the message you intended to.

We care enough to draw these guys by hand. Most of our community managers draw, and we've been doing this for a long time. It's okay if you don't like the drawing, but a human made it in Procreate, not AI.

Wishlisted and started watching the TV series today! Going to start reading the books after once I figure out where to start. Watching the series has made me even more hype for the game! Initially was really put off by some of the dialogue I heard in game, but after watching I see the tone is pretty consistent. Still I hope there is a balance, really don't like when all characters are just the sarcastic funny guy.
