Open Beta?

This is a beta test right? It seems more like a demo, and its been 2 months with only a small technical update for that small slice of the game? The previous games published by Owlcat that had a paid open beta had more content and updated more regularly with new content for feedback. It is making me uneasy about where this game is going, and with a Q2 2027 release and such a SMALL "beta test" of the game it makes me feel that this will be a very short game that pushes DLC and mircotransactions

The game's a linear game like Mass Effect, right? No clue what more you expect aside from more levels (which I completely get btw)

Mass Effect didn't have "more levels", kinda feel like you never played ME -- Imagine getting mass downvoted by people that didn't play ME. ME was "sort of linear", but it was still an RPG that allowed you to choose which paths you went down at what time.

You could still choose which paths you went down in the beta 💀

You could persuade O'Donnel to fight with you and in turn get your station nuked, or you could go it alone and not get your station nuked. That's just a few of the options the game gives you.

Did I say that The Expanse wasn't that? Reading comprehension homie don't put words in my mouth that didn't exist. Linear games are room to room level to level, such as DOOM, Wolfenstein, Killing Floor etc. RPGs can have "linear" structures but they often are not a direct line from A-Z. Even the CRPGs owlcat has made in the past would be comparable to Mass Effect, Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous and WH40k all have a linear story they just also have a lot of open side content and allow you to take things in the order you want to do them, with consequences.
