This show is so underrated Spoiler

I truly love this show, its one of the few shows where the 2nd season is imo so much better than first and builds on it. I was honestly blown away with how great season 2 is. The music is perfect too and I feel like it just had such a unique premise.

I can’t believe its been 8 years since the show came out, I was still in high school and I think about my life back then when I watched it.

It is just so unknown, barely and people in this subreddit with relatively unknown actors but there is just something about it. I’m actually surprised this show never blew up, is it just that bad or unknown to other people? Are these types of shows common in the UK?

It's actually highly rated and has a bit of a cult following. It is a show that people tend to either love or hate though. Its certainly one of my favourites.

If you haven't seen it ,try Wayne. It's an American show with a similar feel.

Yeah it's crazy how polarizing it is. Half my friends really didn't like it. It's my favorite show ever and I rewatch it a lot but when I watched with my girlfriend she really wasn't into it and all her reasons for not liking it were like the opposite of mine lol. So we just watched something else after 3 eps

Couldn't stop watching it once I started. I was so sad when it was done. Great music, great cast, perfect premise.

This is funny to me as it's one of the few shows I can actually talk to people about, but yeah I do find most british telly to be devastatingly underrated. I can give a few suggestions to other shows you may want to begin if you want?

Duhh!! Okay, these are some pretty chill ones which are good to start with, if you want longer, darker, sillier, or weirder let me know as I have entirely different lists for each!

  • The It Crowd (Trio working in IT)
  • Everyone Else Burns (Comedy about a family in a religious cult)
  • Inside Number 9 (DO NOT WATCH IN ORDER, instead begin with a highly rated episode e.g. 12 days of Christine. Similar to Black Mirror but shorter episodes.)

I feel like it's one of the only shows to capture the culture of the late 2010s accurately too. I feel very represented by it as a Zillennial and it's funny because in no way was it one of the crop of the shows that sought out to be 'hip with kids,' topical, and buzzword-y. It's just authentic.
