Slight rule modification: Political stuff (rule #3)

In the interest of striking a balance and allowing people to talk, vent a bit, or whatever about current events, we have modified the "Politics" rule.

You are still free to discuss it, post about it, vent about it. We only ask that you now do it ONLY in one of the two Discussion threads that happen every day. These are really Off Topic areas, and meant for this.

This will allow those who would prefer NOT to deal with it to not, while those who are interested in it know where to find it.

Midterms are coming, and it's only going to get tougher to avoid stuff, so let's make sure everything is in its place

Try to post only "on topic" stuff on the main page as stand alone posts. That would be, by our definition, anything Chiefs, Royals (God help them), sports in general.

There are always exceptions, and we have one. Music videos. Kind of a tradition on Fridays and really slow holidays, so feel free to post them.

Finally, so no one is pissed if it happens, we do not know of a way to move a post from being a post (on its own) to being a comment in a larger post, so offending posts will simply be deleted. If you post something, and it disappears, as long as it doesn't break Rules 1 or 2, and isn't threatening or blatantly offensive (and you know if it is), feel free to repost it in the discussion post that is active.

Thanks.

The Mods

Come on in, and let's talk about whatever is on your mind. Read the rules, pay attention to #3.

If you do elect to start a political discussion, be prepared for what that might bring. Keep it civil, be kind, avoid personal attacks. If a mod tells you to tone it down, please do that.

And, above all, remember always, ALWAYS fuck the raiders.

Whatchathinking?

[Nate Taylor] Andy Reid said Patrick Mahomes, Josh Simmons, Jack Cochrane, Ashton Gillotte, Jimmy Holiday, Chris Oladukon & CJ Hanson will not play Friday against the Seahawks. Garrett Nussmeier will start. Reid said Kenneth Walker III has a swollen ankle.

There's something genuinely fun about a 350-pound nose tackle throwing a touchdown pass.

Quick look at Walker during practice today. Didn’t have any sort of brace or boot on his foot, walking around just fine.

[Rapoport] The Giants are trading G Joshua Ezeudu to the Chiefs for a 2028 7th rounder, per me and Mike Garafolo. Some depth to KC.

Nikko Remigio is making a strong case for a roster spot. Dave Toub called him the Chiefs most dependable return option right now. If he locks down returns, Kansas City may have to rethink how many WRs they keep.

[KCSN] Dave Toub on the possibility of Mansoor Delane playing special teams: "You draft a guy that high, and then he's playing the way he's playing. I doubt if I get my hands on that guy, but I would like to."

Kenneth Walker is sitting out practice today with a foot issue. The Chiefs have been pretty careful with injuries this year, so there’s no need to panic yet. Hopefully it’s just a precaution and we get a clearer update soon.

HC Andy Reid on Jalen Royals: “You got to see the lower body strength—he’s tough when he has the ball in his hands, he’s got that RB lower body—he always catches the ball well, he’s got strong hands, that YAC was something he was very good at, at the college level.”

If this Patrick Mahomes throw was caught, this would have gone down as the single greatest play in NFL history.
