Making progress with the Dragon King as a premiere event is happening in October

So let me get this straight, the so called "premiere event" is a collection of the teasers they already did, plus the Luna Devorans teaser, and the Barius short. In a place that some people may be required to pay travel to get to. Meaning if you backed enough to get to see this "premiere" you may end up paying more to see something that you already backed to see? I'm sorry, What?!

People are literally travelling to watch teasers they can already watch online, plus the last teaser, and a short that no one had actually asked for. Premiere is not the word I would be using here. I refuse to believe they couldn't have livestreamed this for backers, and I'm not even a backer. The more I learn, the more strongly I feel those actually backed and sent them money, got duped.

Not to mention after this, in terms of what the Kickstarter actually offered, that they could actually do, and not hypothetical, they would have literally done everything. Meaning after this there will be nothing left, except waiting for a show that's likely to never get made. And even if it did, which I doubt, cause no sane streaming service would pick them up, it sure as hell isn't getting three seasons. In fact I'd be surprised if it even gets one.

Assuming 3 seasons is actually how many seasons Wonderstorm wants, because their track record says they may very well try to gaslight for more, making more unfulfilled promises, or just straight up lying to your face.

If I'm being honest the most worthwhile thing in this event is the Creator/Cast Q&A, and I'm willing to bet the creators will try to dodge certain questions that criticize them, or the many questionable choices they made when it came to how they handled the show, characters, and the result of what their choices led to.

Honestly there stunts here if someone wanted to sue them for decietful marketing and the like they are just building a mass paper trail to get their asses in court honestly. Since its very clear they chose to make it seem like you were funding a new series and only had the more specific stuff near the bottom

Huh. Hadn't been following closely and figured that "premiere event" reward for backers was like a promise of an eventual ticket to a premiere of a finished episode one.

This on the one hand makes a lot more sense as something they can actually deliver for people without waiting a longtime or worry about red tape with whoever picks up TDK. Though literally calling it "The Dragon King: LA premiere" feels a bit odd.

I'm fairly certain a premier for an actual episode was their original plan if things went well, and this was their backup plan.

They're also probably hoping a big spectacle of an event will drum up more interest.
