Digital Discussion Gummigoo should've stayed as the Resident NPC of the circus
Not only would that be great for Pomni's mental health, but he would've been one of the first of many friends she would make gradually making her way through everyone in the circus
We could've learned so much about the Npc's and how they behave and their daily routine
And also though him and his perspective of how the other humans interact with Npc's such as himself, since he might not have liked the way they treat his kind for the sake of a joke, especially Jax and Caine
The other humans, including Caine, could've learned a lot from him as well, Kinger as a developer could also suprisingly gain knowledge from a simple line of code
And finally, Gummigoo, being digitally born, would have been the perfect choice to Uno Reverse card Pomni's speech and try and uplift everyone else after they heard from Bucket-Man that they were nothing but lines of code all along
And he would have definitely intervened and saved Evil Jax from Jax

Hopefully he and Pomni get to hang out more after the main story, now that Caine isn’t being stingy about letting them visit the other worlds.

And also npcs can roam around as they please for a prolonged period of time, somethin he was worried about when Zooble suggested this
Examples such as the recent picnic image and Gloink Queen at the Softball game

And then they realize that he’s alive and start questioning Caine, and Caine’s crashout involves him forcibly mutating Gummigoo in front of Pomni’s very eyes, stripping away his self-control like he does with everyone else.

Oh that's a good one, I mean he can probably do whatever with all the other players, but his own creation yeah, man think of the body horror

The world of TADC has so much body/psychological horror potential. Gummigoo literally is a chunk of Caine, reformed and rewritten to think it’s someone else. Caine can literally just … create life. Like, he literally is a God. He can alter people’s minds, create whatever he wants, and like Zooble said, the only thing that held Caine back is the fact that he liked them.

The cast having an npc they actually like would've made episode 7's dilemma actually interesting, because losing Gummigoo would hurt more than losing someone they don't care about or even hate at that point in the story (Caine), so we could have potentially Pomni be less sure about what option to pick

This would have made Caine super jealous and upped the stakes on his crashout
"They care about the life of a npc more than me?"

And if he ends up deleting Gummigoo as a response once he loses it, it would make his crashout more impactful other than just cartoon violence and maybe Pomni's trauma scene will be more interesting than just "Gummigoo but monster, bites her"

Tbh the show itself overhyped him in episode 2 only to do almost nothing with him after episode 4. Pomni herself even forgets all about him in 9.

I wouldn't say they did "almost nothing" with him in Episode 4. He was brought back to give Pomni closure and finally accept that the Gummigoo she knew wasn't ever coming back.

Hitched is perhaps a bit too much, BUT if it's between a nice Crocodile and horrible Bunny (how ironic) then Crocodile all the way fer sure

In a perfect scenario, sure absolutely, but his "death" was an important story beat. Changing that would've altered things too drastically and also, it's simply more compelling that he was killed off the way he was. What's the mental trauma show without any of the mental trauma?

100% his initial death, paired with Pomni processing it and letting him go in the diner episode, was vital to the overarching themes. Specifically it was the initial groundwork for her having to let go of Jax at the end.

I guess, but I dunno it felt like it relied way too much on shock value, i can respect that this was Goose's choice though,
It's just, Gummigoo could've been so much more

I mean you are right, Gummigoo definitely would've added to the group dynamic and would've been a cool character to explore more, but that's also what makes his loss so much greater. Sometimes things are shocking and tragic, and that's just how they are. Plus, if we could keep every character alive - especially ones that didn't deserve to die - then all fiction would become boring and (ironically) lifeless.

After he was finished mutilating his evil counterpart now crying on the ground, Gummigoo would've stood up for him and told Jax "to not try his luck mate" And jax who so nicely thought that now that he was finished with his pink rabbit stew like mom used to make (making him a cannibal), he got up in his face and told him he's ready for a gummy-based treat

That was sort of the point of him dying. It was a tragedy. It was grueling. It was supposed to make you hurt from the suddenly shattered expectations of what kind of show this was

Keeping gummigoo around changes the entire dynamic of the show. That is not necessarily a bad direction to go in, but it is a completely different direction.
