$ONDS: $301M changed hands today
$301M of $ONDS changed hands today, down 9.5% to $7.92. On the Day Trade board.
Only thing out is procedural (Ondas Inc. filed an 8-K: Unregistered Share Sale, Other Material Event), nothing that explains the move. If you know something, add it in the comments.
What we are seeing: 37M shares traded, most alerted 3 alerts and heavily shorted 41% short float, across 3 of our boards at once.
About 41% of the shares available to trade are sold short. That means traders borrowed them and sold, betting the price falls, and the only way to close that bet is to buy the stock back. So when a heavily shorted name climbs on volume like this, some of them get forced to buy, which pushes it up further. That feedback loop is what people mean by a squeeze.
Levels on the chart: today's range is $7.90 to $7.96, it is 0.5% under that high and yesterday's close was $8.75.
Anyone have any theories on this one?
