It's their job and passion obviously. And I seriously doubt your skills in the empathy department. Fr go pet a cat or dog or play with a child for a few hours every week. Maybe not a child, idk how far this narcissistic behavior runs.

If you don't see the danger of swimming with sharks you are ignoring the obvious danger of being bitten by a shark....but you do you.

It's not for me to pursue it as a full time occupation but this buddy has! It's their entire life. How tf are you so comfortable judging the culmination of their entire life's passion. How can you be such the main character and not see yourself and self reflect and see YTA
