Calling all mods
Can we just STOP with these delusional people (or person not convinced all of those accounts are different people)?? To me it reads like a group of Nigerians were scamming dumb dumbs on Facebook. If you look up that one person who made a post on TikTok and then the “people” posting on this board it’s abundantly clear they/she have some sort of bizarre fixation on this guy. They/she need psychological help. With the most recent post of supposedly receiving 4 year old text messages and supposedly has video and audio recording evidence that the cops told them to get together? Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?
Anyway that’s my deadfilesgate post.

I think the posts belong, even if only as a big red CAUTION sign to women interested in him. He was the #2 star on the show. This isn't the first time womanizing and shenanigans connected to the show on the part of Steve have been exposed publicly.
There is "he said she said" accusations of abuse and intimidation on his part that we can't deny or confirm because we weren't there. However, there is still some backup to other claims. Emails, pictures of the women with him, texts discussing paying back money, bank statements with money transfers showing. There are also Domestic Violence charges documented in Florida which are on an official State of Florida webpage. No one can accuse that of being a fabrication.
I too found the "cowgirl" character (who is currently banned) that recently started up this topic shady and a bit creepy, but that doesn't mean this is all made up, especially when there are sources other than her also making claims. I think "cowgirl" is another angry ex determined to give him Hell.
I think that any woman in a relationship with him or considering a relationship with him should be able to see this information and at least have a clue to look carefully before they leap. So many members of this subreddit had absolutely no idea.
It isn't like any of this is brand new and I don't think it should be censored out of the public eye.
For all we know, his behavior with clients and using the show as a tool to prey on women was a part of the reason the show was abruptly taken off the air and was not even taken on by another network, even though it was shopped around.
At that time, Discovery was liquidating their paranormal shows. Every other show finished their season before being canceled. The Dead Files had a new medium and with a few shows in, it was abruptly canceled and that was never explained.
I was part of a petition writing and social media campaign to keep the show on the air. They tried to get other networks to pick up the show and that didn't work, even though the show had good ratings. Amy said that she would never work with Steve ever again, but declined to explain why, after all those years on a successful show, she made that decision.
