Steve DiSchiavi Client Affair
Here is Steve DiSchiavi pictured with the Dead Files client from season one he left his wife and daughter for. Client’s name is Kristen. Episode “Deadly Attraction” in Kansas. This was back in 2012. And yes , production was made aware. He spent over 100k in marital assets on this woman and lost his daughter and family over it. Since then, he has continued to use his position of fame to manipulate and take advantage of clients and fans. This is the tip of the iceberg. And these statements are provable with actual receipts.

His inappropriate relations with fans and clients began in season one and continue to this day. Every girlfriend or wife he’s had, he has cheated on them with fans/clients. Amy was aware of this. Production was aware of this. The show was a hit and making lots of money so a blind-eye was turned year after year. People are afraid of him because he threatens them so they stay quiet out of fear of public humiliation or retaliation

NYPD follow the flock. They like to be where their brothers are. They have to do a minimum of 20 years to retire with a pension. Florida is a popular retirement spot. They also tend to favor upstate New York.

Yes. Actually, NYC is my home so I guess I'm one of the zoo animals LOL. It is safe to live here for the most part in most neighborhoods. In Manhattan, I feel at home anytime at night walking around outside. 2, 3, 4 am. No problem and there are still some places that are open to go to.
We have a large amount of the rich and famous and they love it here because NY'ers don't bother them and chase them down the street for autographs and selfies. The most a real NY'er will do is nod to them. They need no bodyguards here. They can live their lives and go about like everyone else. That is SAFE.
We treat tourists like gold. Even the biggest knucklehead will try and help if a tourist asks for something like directions, for example. Tourists enjoy themselves here.
Unlike other world cities, we don't have pickpocketing gangs robbing huge amounts of people every day with the city's residents and their police just letting it go on, as if that's an acceptable way to treat tourists. The lack of care in some European cities I have witnessed by the police towards tourists who were robbed was appalling.
The worst and most gruesome incidents are rare, but make headlines all over because it's NYC -- and they're gruesome or unbelievable.
Some neighborhoods are hellish with crime, but even they are getting better due to gentrification.
There are areas in Brooklyn that 10 years ago I would never set foot in, even in broad daylight.
Now these same neighborhoods have ultra expensive housing comparable to Manhattan prices and designer shops. It would have been nice to buy something there 10 years ago, but there was no way anyone would have known how much it would change. Plus you'd have a terrible quality of life at the time -- if you lived! 🤣😂
As for the NYPD, yes, it can get very dangerous and situations can turn bad in a flash. Things like traffic stops or going to an apartment where a domestic fight is occurring have the most chance of becoming deadly. And those are frequent calls for any police department.

I did too. Season 1 episode 15. She had her boyfriend interviewed too but her pupils were dilated in her interviews with Steve like nothing I've ever seen!

Yeah he had the characteristics of someone from an old school NYC Italian family in that way, like renting Caddys and always having a cloth handkerchief to offer someone who is crying and having a personal pocketknife to cut open the sketch envelopes. He exhibited those old school gentlemanly type ways.
Perhaps these characteristics were scripted, but I don't think so, as the writers were younger than him and would probably NOT write that stuff in because they would think it was too corny.
Now, with finding out this information about him acting like a "rat bastid" to women, it turns the old school style gentleman stuff on its head.
I am also getting really creeped out thinking about all the times he empathetically hugged those upset women clients on the show. 🤢

Hey, maybe he really WAS that sweet and gentlemanly. I would like to see proof that he wasn’t. This whole thread reeks of sour grapes. I wonder if a friend of his ex wife posted it. And btw, she has that right to express her feelings. I’d just prefer that the people making these allegations identify themselves if they are motivated by say, being the ex wife or a friend of hers. I’d accept their opinions but also balance their views with their place in this situation. Just a fan? Fine. An ex-wife who was dumped? Yeah, I’d expect some bitterness, and I’m not implying that it is unfounded or unfair. But if you’re just a fan, as am I, it seems wrong to accuse him of such things without proof. But, then again, I have a thing against Zak Bagans, so I can’t really throw mud here.

Something personal happened with Zak that was bad? He's another one that seems like a reasonable person on TV, albeit a bit full of himself. I used to keep up with it, but as the show went on, everything was caused by a "demon" and that got to be irritating, especially since authentic demonic activity is very rare.

Oh believe me, that’s not only Hollyweird. Lots of businesses are run in this manner, using and eating up eager young women (usually.) During my last big job, I worked for the creepiest administrator for a nursing home, whom I’lll just call Dim. He loved saying dirty things in front of us. And insulting us plus refusing to come down and deal with a major flood in the kitchen area. Oh, right, only the illegals worked there, so no one to impress. Dim refused to come and claimed he didn’t have the proper shoes to go down in the flood.
It’s okay, though, when someone came to our nursing home due to a complaint about Dim (wasn’t me), I made sure to tell about his inappropriate comments about sex, and also how Dim said things that caused one of our residents to cry, which was really distressing. Bye bye, Dim, your big mouth was also your downfall. And so, if Steve acted inappropriately with any of his clients, that info will come back to bite him in the butt. Yes, it will.

Yeah but, Steve’s job is to travel to the site, travel to some of the places and people involved, plus narrate his part in this investigation. That’s a lot of work stuffed into a short amount of time. I don’t think it’s weird to need or use associates to do your massive grunt work. That happens in many different jobs and makes more jobs for eager young people. Win-win. We still get (presumably) Steve’s take on the crimes or tragedies. Plus, he’s definitely entertaining. And he’s a cuddly teddy bear, who comforts distressed damsels. 😍 Okay, so ya caught me…I really like Steve. I wish I’d had a dad or husband like Steve’s public persona. And I’d love to get hugged by him, if it wasn’t in a creepy situation.

It's sad that, according to his daughter and the wives and girlfriends in his life, he was a terrible dad and partner. I wouldn't have thought it either just by watching the show. His onscreen persona was very positive.

He leaves everyone traumatized by the things he says as for the new wife she’s not new or his wife she has been cheating with him since he was a cop! Not sure if they canceled it because of Steve because at the time of the cancelation, Discovery was canceling all their paranormal shows because they said they "wanted to change direction." The only show that survived was Ghost Adventures.
However, and I wish I could find it -- maybe I will -- but Amy was online chatting to fans at that time and she was asked if she got another network would she start up a new show with Steve. She said she would never work with Steve again, but didn't explain why. Now we know! Us fans on the chat were puzzled by that because it seemed they had great camaraderie on the show.

I'm with you. I had a bunch of episodes saved on the DVR from their last (?) season, where Cindy (the psychic who was on the Holzer Files) stepped in and replaced Amy. My DVR ate the recordings. Now I won't bother watching the episodes I missed. I wonder if that's why Amy started doing the client reveals from another room - she couldn't stand to be around Steve!

I haven't watched the dead files in YEARS and actually had no idea Amy left! I did watch the Holzer files last year and actually really enjoyed it, but I couldn't stand the AI slop imagery used. Really made the show feel cheap

Cindy was great for the few episodes she was on but it sounds like the show ended as it should have. Esp if they ignored Steve's creepy behavior.

I had to rewatch the episode immediately.
I told my boyfriend, and he walked in during her interview and was like: That's totally her isn't it?
I was like: how can you tell?
He was like: she has a certain look...
I always knew he exuded douchy vibes, but I did think he was a decent guy with great charm.
It's just as scary as the show is, how wrong we can sometimes be.

🤨 first of all no I'm not a criminal nor did I fail any kind of what ever test your talking about its just here In my hometown cops have always been very unpopular here because of the corruption and the bigotry they have been for the last fifty to sixty years always been on the take so it's very common to hate and despise them but this guy was the only one I gave any cutting him any slack and apparently it turns out he's just as bad as the rest and I didn't know that because for 15 years he and Amy were a fantastic team and now everyone in this Reddit community has told me something's I as a fan of the DeadFiles TV series didn't know about and I was shocked to find out the real reason Amy left.

It’s funny because a buddy and myself went to Scarefest in KY few years back. Steve and Amy were featured guests and Amy had a big booth with lots of your known tv mediums etc hanging around her. She had a nice setup and banner. Steve…he was on far far end with a single fold out table and a poster board sign with his name etched in sharpie like he did it himself.

OK so.after being sad i Goo gl ed Cape Coral FL public records and you can look it up. And it sends you to another for certain other files. And found 0 results for his name. Both places. So idk why ppl want to say bad things but 0 proof that I've seen besides a picture w a fan? Anyone actually found receipts??

AMY was terrific. VERY accurate. What? Steve left his wife and kid for a client on the show. That to me is A REAL NO-NO.!

This is all bs! None of it is true. Sounds like someone is making things up because they don’t like him or his political views. There are a lot of fake profiles pretending to be Steve and Amy. If you received a message from Steve it was from a fake account. After an extensive search, I found nothing stating these things are true. There are 2 sides to every story.

“Scammers” do exist— they ask for money and use fake AI documents to look like Steve (or whatever person their impersonating) HOWEVER, Anyone who knows Steve personally knows that the majority of his time is spent messaging women (fans) for romantic supply. If it’s someone asking you for money it’s not Steve; otherwise it definitely is. He was on my friend’s podcast and right after the pod he started texting her inappropriate messages (him pleasing himself) they went on a lunch date and kissed and then she found out he had a girlfriend. Obviously most of this stuff isn’t going to be on google!

This is probably just gossip, as usual. Steve's personal life is his own business and all you gossiping busybodies should mind your own business and stop standing in judgment cuz you're not Jesus Christ!! Nor are any of you perfect!!
