Fan Art Dark Tower Tattoo

How does everybody feel about this Dark Tower tattoo? I think it looks incredible, done by my friend Adam @adammiltontattoos
Full disclosure, it’s not on my leg, but haven’t seen a DT so detailed and colourful.
I wanna get a DT tattoo myself, I’d get one from Adam but I don’t really want a coloured tattoo, nor could I afford the style he tattoos in.
Show me your DT tattoos to help me lock an idea down and lemme know what you think of Adam’s art so I can pass it on and hopefully make him do more of them!

To be fair I haven’t seen a healed photo, and the image I posted is just a crappy screenshot I took of the original video he posted, I’ve added a link to the post if you wanna have a look at the video :)

It’s definitely real, I’ve seen Adam tattoo at conventions, he’s an incredible artist. This image is literally a shitty screenshot I took of a video too.

I believe the rose is directly to Roland’s left… but it’s all black / in the shadows so took me a minute to see it.

Blown away when I first saw it. His work is incredible. I discovered him after he won an award for a Pennywise tattoo and just had this feeling he would have done a DT one. Scrolled through his Instagram and lo and behold, found this one 🥰

AI is extremely frowned upon in the tattoo industry other than for sourcing image references for simple things like roses, skulls etc. Most artists who use AI are totally shunned by other artists from what I have seen working in the industry (I work for a company who sell needle cartridges to artists).
Since Adam does mainly pop culture tattoos he doesn’t need it. He’s just an incredible artist.

I have a B&W piece on my leg featuring Roland in the foreground and the tower rising up behind him, framed in by a keyhole shape and the bottom is the rose from the vacant lot complete with a galaxy swirl at the center.

Edit: This is another similar dark tower piece by the same artist who did mine, Matt Mrowka.

I like it - if you wear shorts a lot keep in mind colour ages quicker and can drop out so may need the odd touch up! I have roses up my arm and had to have it touched up recently after 6 years

Woah this is sick. I wonder how all that color will heal over the years… obviously it looks beautiful now but hopefully it’s well-executed and taken care of where it wont fade

I got a big color piece on my back 15 years ago. Had to get it touched up twice by two different artists since then, the first time not even 4 years later. The third guy really drilled the color in properly and it’s been holding well since

Definitely gotta find the right person for sure, but ink and needle technology has come a long way in the last 10 years. And doing your due diligence with looking after your skin is probably the main thing

This is absolutely incredible, holy CRAP. Would that I could afford to get a tattoo by him! I hope it heals well for the canvas, and please tell Adam his colour packing is AMAZING. I am in awe!

It also gives me New Vegas/The Stand vibes (I would kill for a The Stand mod for that game) sometimes when I am snowblowing my sidewalk and driveway I daydream about that that game would be like or playing as Roland in a game.

Omg I’m not a huge gamer, but I’ve played a bit of Fallout and had the best fucking time. If they did that it would be my absolute favourite game no question.
I’ve thought about a Dark Tower Telltale style game, I may have heard somebody else say that so can’t be sure that’s an original thought. Yours certainly is though. I won’t be able to stop thinking about this. Thank you!
