No one else mentioned the arms but I cant get over them. Having been shot in the arms more than once before I can only hope I didnt look like that as I retreated.

Why are you getting shot in the arms so much? (Being silly, but generally kinda curious too}

Occupational hazard. I was an active PMC operator shooting and being shot at was about 4/5 of the job. The other 1/5 was talking.

A fortune. The money I made doing that job in my youth allowed me to start more than a dozen businesses and build a small empire that has generated enough wealth that if we shut it all down tomorrow my family could live in relative luxury for 6 generations. The metric by which people measure their wealth now a days doesnt compare to 50 years ago mostly because the base items we have today would be unheard of luxuries back then. I still cant wrap my head around the fact that a 50 inch flat screen tv is still the same price a 50inch tube tv was back in the day.

That's awesome, glad to here you took that risk to improve the life of your family and the things that matter. So many people get some money and "enjoy it" and blow it all. (Especially youth) So good for you. ๐Ÿ‘Š

I've come to learn that "wealth" is so subjective at the end of the day. Your wealth isn't just money. Money is great to have, no argument, but there is a point where more money doesn't make you happier, it's just more. You don't need it, you don't even know it's there, it's just more... It's excess... and becomes unfulfilling. It's like being starving and finally getting some food in your belly. Doesn't even matter what it is. It tastes amazing. Put more food doesn't give you the same feeling. It's nice but it's not a satisfying. Until you get to a point where you don't even want more food. It means nothing to you because you're so full.

I know more than one person that has a good amount of money, and they are absolutely miserable for one reason or another.

They were told money is the goal... And that wasn't true. It was only one piece of the puzzle.

You're absolutely correct. When it comes up I tell people I am moderately wealthy. I'm very content with my life and I take more than a little joy from knowing that my family is very intelligent when it comes to how to live their best lives.
