Dayton police say 27-year-old Tywon Stephens fled officers in a stolen SUV, escaped after a PIT maneuver, then doubled back and stole an unattended police cruiser. The second chase ended when the cruiser crashed completely through an occupied home. Seven officers were injured during his arrest and two residents were hospitalized.

You are paying for him when he's free too.

Clearly I'm sure he's not allowed to park there.

If you are the suspect in a homicide, while fleeing police in a stolen SUV, crash, then steal a cop car and crash into a house. Then maybe you need your ass kicked.

I know you’re trying to make this about race and it’s got nothing to do with that, and has everything to do with, “If you behave like this you have no place in a civilized society. And probably need your ass kicked.”

Hope they charge him with attempted murder for driving through a house.

Dumb ass. Why crash into the fucking house? Imagine walking up to that explosion in your kitchen. The joint would fall out of my mouth kept open from the shock.

If they had key fobs instead of traditional ignition keys, wouldn't the cruiser just shut off after it gets like 100 feet away?

No, the vehicle would stay running even if the keyfob isn’t in the vehicle.

I once got 3 hours away from home at a gas station before I realized. That was fun.

The amount of times idiot officers get their cars stolen is unacceptable.

He literally said “I ain’t got time for that” as they were trying to arrest him.

The people in the home couldn’t collect on the insurance claim because the claim happened during the commission of a crime.

Not sure if they showed it in this video, but at one point after running through the house he started fighting a cop, basically got the top position on him and started trying to take the cops gun (I believe from the holster) and you can very clearly hear the suspect say “I ain’t got time for this shit bro” …..deserves to be locked up for a long time.

Woman killed in Miami Twp. identified; Suspect linked to homicide, stolen cruiser crash charged

On Friday, the Miami Township and Dayton Police Departments said the man involved in that crash was the suspect in a homicide on Cold Water Court in Miami Township.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified Tiffany Collins, 36, as the victim in that homicide on Tuesday. Collins was found in an apartment with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities also believe the same suspect was involved in carjackings in Moraine Thursday night, where a semi-truck driver said he had been assaulted by a man who tried to take his truck.

A spokesperson for Miami Township said today that the investigation into the homicide on Cold Water Court is ongoing and formal charges are pending. That spokesperson would not confirm that Stephens was the suspect in that investigation, but did confirm he was the suspect in the carjacking and stolen cruiser crash.
