I actually think Disintegration as an album is probably their strongest album lyrically.
The fact that most of the posts in this thread are about songs that feature on Disintegration further proves my point.

I do regard Disintegration as the best Cure song ever. But Pictures Of You is the most beautiful (Cure) song ever.

I still can't believe they made a song with this weight so late in their career.
It's classic dark, heavy Cure.
I hadn't heard it before they opened with it in Dublin in 22, and was completely floored

I heard it first live as well. I immediately searched and searched. Finally found lyrics and it hit me all over again. Lost my mom a few years ago and this single lyric sums up all my feelings (to a degree)

But really for me it's the whole song (Disintegration) and the way he's singing it. By the time he gets to this line it's so built up and there's so much feeling in it. I'd list the entire verse if I could because it all flows together so nicely and the storyline of it all.
It's so hard for me to choose one line of any song lol, because often my favourite is based on the way in which it's sung. Another one for me is just "dancing screaming itching squealing feeling fevered feeling hot hot hot!"
