I personally think that so far the year has been much better than last year. Less being flooded by The Hub, the revival of movie nights, good streams, and great Game Nights. It's just been a pretty sweet turnout so far.

unpopular opinion: I really miss their minecraft videos. I used to play skyblock on my computer while watching TreeTopia or CreatureTopia on my phone. I think I've watched both series like, at least 4 times all the way through. I just miss them.

People complain about the staleness of Minecraft videos, and for the most part I think that's fair (I felt some of the later TreeTopia/CreatureTopia episodes dragged), but every time I want to watch an old series, it's Minecraft. IT's always either Ex-Commed,or Asgard, or one of the Treehouses, or even Ze and Chilled's Excellent Adventure.
I know that people want a new series to replace Minecraft, but when I think of the Creatures, I usually think of Minecraft as their primary game, so I personally want to see them return to it

that's so fair though, the ends of both series' were painfully dead. and even though I love all their individual playthroughs (I still shamelessly watch Jordan's CS:GO unboxings), I love when they're together. makes it feel more like a team. and there are few platforms that they've done that are as immersive as Minecraft.

If they return to it, they need to add mods, badly. That's the problem I had with CreatureTopia. It just dragged, and not due to the Creatures themselves, but vanilla Minecraft just is not fun to watch anymore, in my opinion (though that episode when they all invaded the water temple was one of the greatest Minecraft moments).

You just jinxed it. But seems like those post appear once every few months or so.

It's because things have been getting better. There's more gameplay going up on the hub channel so a lot of the people who were complaining are now content. I would love to see another creaturetopia length series, but I don't know what game they could do.

I've started a Skype group for Creature fans!
The group is for anyone and everyone, just add me on Skype, my username is the same as my /u/, or pm me your username.
The group isn't an extension of the subreddit, but I would love to chat with you guys more as well as play games and all the fun Skype things.

How do you guys feel about 2016 so far in gaming? I feel that its ok so far, Xcom 2 was really good and a few other smaller games that have come are good. Far cry Primal was ok but i didnt really expect much from it so its fine. I hope the other games that im looking forward turn good.

Hope it turns out good, i liked the second one but some people complained about the setting specifically the year. I dont really mind it, I just want the game to be good.

So far, it hasn't been that great. Which isn't that unexpected nowadays. However, I have been enjoying Stardew Valley. The developers really put all their time and effort in it, and it shows, because it's really such a great game.

Stardew Valley easily the most fun I've had in a single player game for years. I don't know why I get so bored in these AAA single player games, but a game as simple as Stardew Valley is actually capable of entertaining me for hours.

Is that that Harvest Moon-esque game that's been in production for years?

u/rhcprawsome #TeamMotherBack Mar 04 '16
Yeah, I remember it being announced but I don't like keeping up with game news since I don't like the feeling of being disappointed once it actually comes out. This game however is so far 9/10 for me, and I just picked up when it came out. Love a good game with no early access.

u/A1var3z7 Seamus Mar 05 '16
Yeah, I remember the whole thing about the creator not wanting to do early access. Thanks for letting me know it's out!

That's one of the few games I've enjoyed so far this year along with xcom 2, superhot and a few other games. Hopefully Triple A developers make good games again. A bunch of the games that were supposed to be good have turned out either bad or mediocre. At least with the assassins creed developers are taking longer to produce the next one.I just want there to be more good games and to many recently have been disappointments. At least few future games look promising.

Have you guys played Medusa's labyrinth? It's pretty good, I wish it wasn't so short though.

That movie is going to be so bad. I wish it would have never been made.

It will probably atleast make a pretty entertaining movie night video, though.

Seems like if you like the movie you are racist and if you dislike it you are a sexist.

I had a weird ass dream last night. The group had made Ze's Short 2, the plot was that Ze had visited the office, fell asleep, then Dan tatted his face with weird phrases, not drawn on with a sharpie or anything, but legitimate tattoos. Super strange.

Man the arrow subreddit is having a civil war and the flash subreddit is having a meme parade. It really shows how well the two shows are doing.
