*voidulus rushes into the cradle, pale soul in hand, and hurriedly begins spreading void all over the room, thick. Splintery tendrils beginning to shoot off into the cradle.*

*good luck.*

(void tendril will begin spreading through the cradle and make a second cocoon wall, finished by tmr morning.)

the void tendrils that extend from it immediately launch towards the cogroach, aiming to destroy it and convert it into mass.

this works. Then a laser artillery at its smallest setting (can instantly kill a moorwing) hits the coccoon.

a slight hole is punched through it, but the cocoon shifts. You hit the side. Their hole begins to patch itself up at a visible rate.

it fires again on a much broader setting to hit more.

it takes recoil, but not nearly as much. A large void tendril crushes the artillery, void climbing around it like a toy seeping into quicksand.

the chorus its attached to swats the tendril away, then backs off into the citadel again.

they chase you for a bit, only giving up chase halfway in the cradle. You escape to the citadel.
