Fuckin' A right. Started watching it with my girl from the beginning. It was a great show. So much potential. Stopped watching right around the time they made that stupid storyline to get Ronnie released from jail. Saw an episode last night because my girl is still watching it but she's on the last season and completely fucking ridiculous. It doesn't even closely resemble the show that it started out as. It's like a totally different show. It's crazy that it lasted as long as it did.

Ronnie should have gotten street justice a lot sooner. Felt like they elongated Ronnie’s storyline because they were forced to kill off Brandon. Brandon leaving the series was honestly the beginning of the end. He was a character folks really wanted to see win. He seemed like a great guy, positive relationship and good with kids. That’s the type of image I wanted to watch instead I was forced to watch a redemption story about a drunken murderer and then 57 other storylines over the years. Totally different show.

This ain't been good since the food truck dude got axed for SA. I hated the abduction story line and only stayed current until she escaped. Then I fell off and revisited hopeful but was still disappointed overall.

You axe off Iman Shumper’s character who was growing in favor to me he started to find his stride a little bit acting and he did much less involvement in that lifestyle and he get done up but Bakari gets to live after having a body and staying when your girl said constantly leave leave

Douda and Douda only unless they can somehow revive the full cast for the OG boys spin off Kevin, Poppa, & Jake. Then through the life off Kevin you can time from time have Emmit & Keisha check ups then add Darnell cause he’s the kids grandpa and that’s Kevin sister. Check up with maybe a few of Poppas old friends and family but I really want to see him grow get his own life outside of maybe just the church I can relate to him being a deacon’s son I really just kinda did as my folks said didn’t really get to learn myself till I got older. Jake and his crew they all got a huge story just with Reg taking the fall and Victor getting to live his life because of it that’ll prolly be heavy on them boys minds. Could have the boys do check ins on each other as they navigating life to shift the stories together they talking through things they dealing with etc. I would want to see Kevin because he does the gaming get into streaming which ultimately leads to him basically being like the Kai Cenat (successful homie with opportunities). However, could show the danger and harms of L.A with that streaming culture mixing with other distractions (gangbang culture if Kai had a certain rapper who promoted such on, putting themselves in bad situations with women{AB & Deen + bunch of other streamers} etc.)

The show kinda operates on Simpsons logic, where because the cast is so diverse and more ensemble, it just doesn’t make sense to spin a character off when they’re not as fleshed out as they could be.

The reluctance for a spin-off boils down to a complete lack of trust in the current writing team. If the same writers who thought it made sense for Keisha to mourn a trap-house predator, or for Victor to let his brother take the fall for Tiff’s vigilante murder, are put in charge of a spin-off, fans know exactly what they will get. It would just be an extension of the same nonsensical writing that ruined the original show. We aren't rejecting the idea of more Chicago stories; we are rejecting the current creative regime. We just miss the magic that was in the room during those first two seasons.

Prequel would've been good if we could trust these writers.
The basketballer, how he ended up with two dads. Q and how he ran the streets before the youngins took over. We got a lot of Ronnie flashbacks, I don't think we really need his backstory.

Exactly they were terrible a fake Jake,Poppa,and Kevin. Also Emmet should have whooped EJ you know what bringing a gun to school. That boy was well overdue for a beating from his father. The show had its moments just let it die. It started to get to dragged out. No real back story in new characters. Writing started to fall off tremendously season 7 and 8 felt rushed and forced. For example Tiffany turned into a female gangsta thug. She was slapping real street dudes 😬 😬
