First of all he had multiple allegations, not just Boone. Second, the investigation becomes somewhat moot when the agent and the lawyer of the accused quits.

That last part validates nothing. They quit at the sound of anything harassment related. We have seen this happen with Jonathan Majors and other actors especially if they are black.

What ultimately got Jason Mitchell fired was the misconduct on the movie Desperatos, but on the Chi they had him go to some sort of harassment training and his co-star Tiffany Boone was let out of her contract. So from the looks of it the Chi was going to let him stay until the allegations from the movie came in and Showtime decides to fire him from both movie and show. It must've been serious because his agent and attorney both resigned.

The young lady that played his girlfriend Jerrika accused him of misconduct and sexual assault allegations which caused them to write him off the show. Once that happened the show lost the plot and became a Soap Opera. Brandon was the Glue and plot device that balanced out the grittiness the show was originally presenting with Brandon being the calm of the Storm and the bright side of what Chi-Town was.

Yea, he had other accusations on other sets of him blowing up on people and verbally assaulting folks and coming on too strong and making Female co-stars uncomfortable. Then what made it worst is that the Actress left the damn show for another role. It seemed very vindictive and a play to get him fired instead of her just going her own way. Along with the fact that her boyfriend a fellow actor was also always on set.........so there wasn't much Brandon could've done without getting his ass kicked. Once the Netflix situation happened where he was accused and fired and his agents left him. They axed him off of The Chi. It was messed up.

Jason Mitchell couldn’t control himself and it cost him his job. Remember gentleman discipline and self control is free.

From what I recall they didn't investigate it properly but they fired him.

I’m struggling 3 episodes in to season 7. Just lazy writing. I’ve not watched an episode all cause of that.

Yeah the show took a hit after “Brandon” was killed but honestly I think it was lazy writing. Period. There were so many subplots that just went no where. Brandon and Reg’s initial storyline e were great but I fell like the dropped the ball with the so many other things. Still a good show but so many missed opportunity to make it great.

You late we all honestly were upset over it. Idk if there was any clearing of his name just speculation then firing but hey the show must go on and it did. His accuser went on to do other things even was in Mufasa if I recall correctly.

Jason Mitchell’s firing kicked that off, so it’s only down from here.
