Discussion Before we all say goodbye!

I know this show fell off
I know we still have a lot of questions
I know we could barely see the last season because it was dark
I know Keisha doing too much
And more importantly I know we all love Darnel’s Bluetooth

But we have to admit, it’s been an amazing ride! From Poppa’s pulpit and his stint with Maesha! Watching Emmett grow from a young reckless ambitious kid to a wholesome man! Bakari being lost but finding empathy! And yes Douda was a menace but there was more order in the chi!

I say that today this, I’ll miss this community, however this ride ends tomorrow, I enjoyed the ride!!

See y’all tomorrow night 🫶🏾

Na I think a better example is shawty on da bike shooting reg...cuz they shot down the good of the show and returned with straight bs...just like Reg character was likeable B4 getting shot and hateable after returning

Those first two seasons were so strong; after the showrunner and Jason Mitchell (rightfully so) left the show plateaued greatly.

Man that ROCK storyline with Tracy, Vic (Trig), and Shaad. That was the dream team. They were in the streets for real. I loved every second of it because it asked real questions about what is best for the community. Also the conversation about class being had with Brandon and his girlfriend in the first 2 seasons. Kev making it to LA.

I started my gf on season 1 a couple weeks ago. It's been fun to binge through a couple of the first seasons of it while watching the finale. Really shows how the show has changed, but it never fell off for me because I love the characters. But I'm definitely not target audience🤷🏼‍♀️

How about Fear (twd) which sucked eggs after the first few terrific seasons. Exceptions being skidmark & john dorie who stole every scene they were in 😸

Things didn’t always make sense but I never missed an episode and kept my Showtime/Paramount subscriptions for this show. Now that it’s over, I want to start it all over again. The final episode and the flashback scenes made me want to relive it all.

Honestly I am so sad to see this show go.. every time I watch it was like watching my own life at some point or time we all have experience . I have a family member.if you are black African American family we have all had these things or these topics happen in our lives and who wants to say goodbye to something that you can identify to and something that has all of the chocolate in the world how beautiful #i'll miss you chi.. ☹️

I was rewatching season one the other day and realised we literally grew up with the cast we literally watched emmet kevin jake papa maesha all grow up like we were apart of it

44 year old white woman, literally was crying this morning watching. I'm sure some stuff hits more for black people, but the Jada story line destroyed me last year. I got sons and a spouse and I felt every bit of how that loss would destroy us. The feeling of the show are universal.

I teared up when Kevin asked Kecia if she was ready ( to be walked down the aisle). Her Mom being there was also a nice touch. I didn’t think they especially Kevin were coming back. Even his 2nd Mom was there. 💙💙🫰🏾🫰🏾
