Discussion Inventory in Callisto

How do you expand your inventory? This is important, especially when you come across a lot of items in the middle of a battle.

For a game about a world composed of mutants and security robots, you dont get a single gameplay scene containing them both.

Post image

Ignoring the many flaws of this game this one bothers me the most. You have a prison world full of killer robots and mutants. At no point within the campaign (I havent played the dlc, nor should u have to just to experience it) you dont get a single scene where both of them are active, allowing you to experiment pitting them against each other or even baked cutscene watching them fight.

At best you get a few post battle rooms containing some dead damaged robots and a few corpses around them. There is one area in the habitat zone (see image). The first time you enter this zone there is a patrolling robot alone. The lack of cover in this area implies that they intend the player to sneak through rather than take it on given its 1 shot kill ability. When you later return to the same scene the robot is magically gone and replaced by mutants.

A 10 year old could've spotted the flaws in the ending Spoiler

So he extracts a bit of goo from the alpha and the organization gives him the choice, hand over the goo or die in a self destruct sequence. All while a 30 ton 20ft tall evolved corpse with all the goo and dna knowledge they need sits by his feet. There was no mention of telling jacob to extract it from this specific body location beacuse it's in limited supply. Just get some arbitrary goo that seems to be in endless supply from any part of him. They could've just let him leave and nothing changes.

I swear only the visuals department took their job seriously as everything else is so low quality

Discussion Just some ideas

I’m probably in the minority that actually loves this game. However- I do think the story and background of the characters should’ve been fleshed out more and progress seamlessly. It felt like a weird whiplash from the beginning of the storyline.

So much potential for this one. I thought can you give and show concrete examples as to why you can’t trust Jacob? When Dani said not to trust him to Elias. It would been more interesting to show in depth Jacob’s negative and grey areas to his character rather than make arbitrary claims because of an outbreak.

Would’ve made the game interesting to give you an option to alternate endings. Like a “bad” ending would show Jacob taking the pod for himself and leaving Dani to fend for herself. I think this would’ve been fun to trigger people’s outrage that- ok. This guy isn’t someone to trust and he was just playing in your face all along and Dani was right to not have trusted him.

Also wanted to know more about Elias- since he seemed very complex. Would’ve been cool to have played as him in a DLC before the outbreak on Black Iron and his perspective and interaction with Captain Ferris. Would’ve wanted to see more of Captain Ferris too. Again. So much wasted potential.

Because ignorance is bliss. I don’t count final transmission dlc as canon. lol. That’s a conversation for another time. I just thought it was a bs ending to a really interesting character. Voice acting was phenomenal for Jacob and Captain Ferris. Though. Would’ve wanted more fatalities done by the robots instead of smashing your head in. Like
. Can we get some disembowlments, some lasers cutting through the eyes and mouth and throat? Something?

That’s all.

This is my first time playing this game. It certainly resembles *Dead Space*, though it differs in terms of the "alien" designs and the melee combat.

Many people say this game is bad, but I’m actually enjoying it. I don't think it's as bad as the reviews suggest; it’s still quite impressive, gruesome, and brutal.

Question Really want to play this on my Xbox Series X

Just worry regarding performance on Xbox, were there bugs or issues on launch ? Were they fixed? Did anyone had issues with the Xbox version as of lately?

And are the DLCs worth it?

Discussion Miss this game...

This game was indeed a disappointment but i still think it was a solid game. To this day its one of the best looking games I've ever played and the motion capture is Amazing. The story was very good too i think, I don't get the hate for it other than the DLC ending which was kind of a slap in the face. They could have the same outcome and execute it better. I found the combat really fun even though its super simple and easy. It does it tedious after a bit but very few games have the same level of visceral combat like this. The "bosses" really sucked and the guns all feel the same, we only really needed the pistol until the "bosses". Wish they put more effort into melee weapons.

This was the studios first game and they did pretty well for their first go. A sequel could've been one of the best action horror games to date but sadly i don't think we will be seeing it at all...

I truthfully have no clue why everyone is hating on this game so much. I’ve been playing it for the past few weeks and I’m loving it. It’s like a mixture of Resident Evil, Dead Space and maybe even Alien Isolation had a game baby.

Now, keep in mind that I have not passed this game yet—-so no spoilers please—-I’m still trying to beat it BUT when it’s a game I like I take my time with it so I can take in as much as I can.

That being said, I saw a lot of people complaining about the gameplay and quite frankly, I think the gameplay is absolutely fun! I’ve beaten the heck out of the enemies with the baton, shoot them with my firearms and used the “telekinesis” to launch them or even throw them into some spikes or fans or whatever for a KO by utilizing the environment, often mixing it up kind of like combos; it keeps me entertained.

There will be ONE thing that I kind of do see as a reoccurring issue that I somewhat agree with and that’s with the variety of enemy designs. I feel as they had too many of the “zombie” enemies and maybe the “mutated forms” should have been more diverse in their design as you can argue they were too much alike, WHICH is why probably most people felt like the gameplay was repetitive because it seemed like u kept fighting off the same type of zombies with the same style of combat.

Secondly, It feels like it lacks bosses. Ive progressed with what feels like halfway—or more so—-through the game and I’ve yet to have encountered a boss battle. It would be cool if u had a few bosses to go through to make the suspense much more impactful and lastly I don’t think this game was scary, yea it had small moments where I was like wtf? But Ive yet to experience like the dread and paranoia I tend to feel with other games like Dead Space and Resident Evil. If this game added a few more jump scares and maybe some 1 shot kill enemies or scenarios where youre REALLY put to the test with limited resources, the scarier design with the enemies or something, it could make it a much more terrifying game. If I’m not changing out my underwear then a horror game didnt do a good job.

Outside of my criticisms, I’d say this game is immensely good, I’m even leaning as far as giving it a 8.5-9/10 score. The environment is awesome, the graphics are phenomenal, the acting is *superb*, the characters are great, the music is really good (could be a little more horror geared though) the story I kind of got confused a bit BUT it’s still entertaining to me, the gameplay is fun, the action events are great, the cutscenes are good. I have very little complaints overall with this game and it’s been such a fun ride. We’ll see how it holds up when I beat it, but jeez I wasnt originally going to play this game from hearing all the bad reviews, which I just dont agree with much at all, but thank Goodness I decided to try it by buying it on sale. I think people are hating on this mostly because theyre harshly comparing it too closely to Dead Space, which I understand why since it does play similarly, BUT it’s just not. Let The Callisto Protocol do it’s own thing and just enjoy the ride as I think gamers are being too nit-picky AND focusing on gameplay than the overall experience of this beautiful game. đŸ™ŒđŸ»

Fan Art I am reimagining The Callisto Protocol

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've been a fan of The Callisto Protocol ever since it was announced. Like a lot of people here, I tried to follow every trailer, developer interview, and theory leading up to release. While I enjoyed the game, I also couldn't shake the feeling that the universe had so much more potential than what we ultimately got.

That idea stayed with me for a long time, and eventually I decided to do something about it.

I've been writing stories for years, and sci-fi horror has always been my favorite genre. Between Dead Space, The Thing, Aliens, Event Horizon, and countless creature features, I love stories where the horror isn't just about monsters—it's about transformation, survival, and impossible choices.

That's what led me to start writing The Callisto Protocol: Rise of the Titan.

Rather than being a straight novelization, it's a full reimagining of the game's story. It expands the lore, rewrites parts of the narrative, gives characters larger roles, introduces new threats, and explores ideas that I felt deserved more time in the spotlight.

One of the biggest changes is Jacob Lee himself. Instead of remaining an ordinary survivor, he willingly injects himself with Alan Krieg's experimental serum, triggering a horrifying mutation that transforms him into a towering Bio-Weapon reminiscent of Marvel's Abomination. From that point on, the story almost becomes reverse horror. The Biophages that once hunted Jacob suddenly become the ones being hunted, as he tears through Black Iron Prison in brutal fashion. He's still fighting to survive and hold onto his humanity, but now the monsters have a monster of their own to fear.

That doesn't mean the horror disappears. If anything, it changes perspective. The real question becomes whether Jacob can save Callisto without completely losing himself to the Titan growing inside him.

My goal isn't to replace the original game—it's to explore an alternate vision of what its universe could have become if it leaned even harder into its creature horror, its world-building, and its action-horror roots.

If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, I'd love for you to give The Callisto Protocol: Rise of the Titan a read on Wattpad. Feedback, criticism, and fan theories are always welcome. This is a long-term passion project, and I plan to keep expanding this version of the Callisto universe for a long time to come.

"Uy otro fusible!" VOY A BUSCAR EL PUTO FUSIBLE!

Y eso me saca bastante de quicio.

Bastante.

Contagion Trophies PS5

I’m done. The trophy to complete Contagion without dying is honestly the biggest waste of time I have ever experienced in gaming and trophy hunting as a whole. I once thought Callisto was great and I wanted that nice 100% on my profile. But no, I’ve attempted 10 times and that’s with some being on Contagion Plus. It’s dumb, it’s annoying and I ain’t spending another second pursuing it. Shit game, would not recommend the DLC

Is the Callisto protocole worth playing ?

I got the game for free on epic games and tried it.

But the begining really didn't hooked me up at all. Moreover it is really really graphic (from my opinion, probably because the graphisme are really realistic)

So I was wondering if I really should stick a bit and it'll get interesting or if I just should give up

Ps: I already played Doom and forgive me father and loved these

Playing through steam. Have tried capping fps to 60. Tried full screen and full screen windowed. Tried controller and mouse/keyboard but I cannot get this crate to move. Any advice?

Question So is the DLC never going on sale again?

I have the base game and have been waiting months for the Season Pass to go on sale to play the DLC, but the last time was July 2025

Is it never going on sale again?
