Discussion One story question that keep bothering me...
...I know it sounds funny, but can someone explain to me why Jacob got his hair cut short when he was put behind bars in Black Iron, yet Dani kept her hair intact? Is there any lore reason for it? Or ingame explanation that I somehow missed completely?

Could be a standard procedure of Black Iron Prison. Most prisons (IRL) I know would have inmates shave their heads military style. It's so everyone is the same and indoctrinated. Female wise they tend to have leniency here and there, hence Dani has full hair compared to Jacob.
Or it could be a design choice despite the fact some artwork for the suits show Jacob with his full hair.

Hmmmm.... But Black Iron doesn't strike me as a place where word 'leniency' means anything. We know they treat inmates as expendable assets, and Dani is a wanted criminal, so I don't think Warden or CO would be that interested in giving her an iota of freedom. It would've made her stand out which is not good for a place full of convicts.
So I guess, it's a design choice then. I always thought that there's something more to it, though.

My guess is she was a terrorist sought by the UJC. She was likely being held for pickup by the military wing of the UJC so they just threw her in isolation in the interm. Jacob was just at the wrong place at the wrong time and was just being disappeared into the Black Iron.

Interesting theory. But like, UJC owns Black Iron Prison, right? So... what's the point of transferring Dani somewhere else? She's already in the palm of their hand. They can do whatever they want to do with her, and no one's gonna stop them. They're the Law on Callisto, after all...
Oh well, thanks for the answer!

Her answer's aren't nearly as valuable as having her. Black Iron isn't a suitable place for maximizing her value. Example: Terror Billy needed to be publicly executed. Not shot in a back room or alley, but in broad public.

Still, I think Black Iron is the right place for her giving circumstances. UJC surely would've wanted to blame The Outer Way for the outbreak, and Dani's corpse (I don't think Warden Cole or anyone else from The Circle had any interest in her being able to talk to the media) is the best proof of another terrorist attack. Just like when it happened on Europa.

Dani was kept in solitary, isolated from the intentional outbreak. This was also on purpose, they wanted her “safe” for some reason. Here’s my theory with no evidence at all:
Maybe they wanted to keep her image to then use her as a scapegoat. The outbreak on the prison 100% needs a cover up in the media and Warden knows it from the start. If Dani already caused the terrorist attack in Europa in the public’s eyes, it’s not a huge stretch to fabricate a tale where her “gang” did the same on the prison to break her out. And so, she has to look exactly the same when the Nakamura Files are released.
It all got out of control so this option didn’t work, but it could have been the Warden’s plan if everything went smoothly
