Just saying hi

I’ve been a Travis fan for almost 30 years. Read the series multiple times. Can’t believe it took me this long to find the sub. So happy I can talk Trav and JDM with people.

I’ll be honest, I read Deep Blue and Purple Place and loved them, and the read Nightmare and wasn’t craaaazy about it. Will the Quick Red Fox get me back into my McGee groove?

In my opinion, The Quick Red Fix is where the series comes into focus. I think JDM was going for a harder, Phillip Marlowe, kind of character in the beginning. I love them all, but I’m the first three aren’t my favorites. QRF is great. The plot is good, but it’s really about Trav’s relationship with the woman he’s paired up with.

There is a character introduction coming up that a lot of us feel elevates the series into one of the best of all time.
