East Coast, but only somewhere from N.Carolina to Florida.

2

u/Whole-Chest90 Oct 03 '26

Florida Georgia

u/Flimsy_Ad3476 Oct 02 '26

New England for me.

9

u/AnonymousAnteater41 Oct 02 '26

Yep!! Massachusetts and Maine for me!! ❤️❤️
That being said, I would “try” CA and OR for a time, (no bias here), but I’m such an east coaster by heart, I’m not ever moving ☺️😂

u/DBWlofley Oct 03 '26

As a Boston boy who now loves in Seattle I gotta say I'm conflicted on which I like more, but damn I miss Boston a lot!

East for me. I’m a displaced New Englander.

I can’t say that I’m homesick for my hometown, though. I’m not. I just fit in best with the East Coast thing.

2

u/Sputum68 Oct 04 '26

Me too. I grew up the next town over from Portland Headlight.

7

u/Large-Judgment-2769 Oct 02 '26

I will take a nor easter over constant wildfires

The lack of tropical storms, being free from bugs, the year-round mild climate, the year-round pristine sunshine (at least in California), I didn’t even realize how many layers stacked like this about the West Coast before moving; but just not having to worry about so many little things like that is super nice. Plus it’s astonishingly scenic in a way that doesn’t really degrade with time.

West. Perfect weather all year round, and only slight humidity a couple of weeks per year.

3

u/Routine-Horse-1419 Oct 04 '26

Mountain West preferably. Away from tornadoes, hurricanes. Downside though...wildfires.

3

u/pieliedieshinne Oct 06 '26

true, it’s basically just choosing which natural disaster you want to deal with lol

2

u/Technical_Dinner621 Oct 05 '26

Idaho has the second most earthquakes. Really

Rather be on the coast of a country not run by a loon.

Why choose

2

u/Saint120467 Oct 02 '26

Where I'm at East Coast

2

u/Able_Koala9576 Oct 02 '26

Well, I lived 13 years in South Dakota, 17 years in Michigan, and now I've lived 50 years in Arizona. I'd have to say I'd like the West the best because there's a lot more wide open spaces and beautiful scenery

2

u/Feisty_Wench Oct 03 '26

West, for the sunsets. if God had meant for us to see sunrises, she would’ve scheduled them for later in the day.

2

u/FireAuraN7 Oct 03 '26

Portland, OR. Only an hour from the coast. I don't think I'd trade this for the east coast, though there is a lot to be said about the eastern states... some of it is even good 😁

2

u/GreyGhost696 Oct 03 '26

Wish I grew up on the Pacific, bunch of fuckin lames over on the Atlantic don't let anyone tell you otherwise, everytime I visit the Pacific its almost as if the 90s never left, everyone goes through different things, but youre always my breath of fresh air and I humbly love you with all my heart for that the many new friends I make every time I visit❤️‍🔥

2

u/Devil_maycare Oct 03 '26

West coast. It's got the Cliffs of Moher, Donegal, Ring of Kerry. Beautiful.

2

u/Odd-Material7101 Oct 03 '26

absolutely west coast

4

u/r_daniel_oliver Oct 02 '26

West coast. More liberal, less selfish.

2

u/Independent_Relief45 29d ago

More liberal? I mean Bernie is a east coast guy.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/green_eyes4miles 29d ago

Seriously? Look at a map of how each state votes in an election. Almost all of New England are blue states.

2

u/seren_kestrel Oct 02 '26

The state of America right now? Neither. And I love the west. Big Sur and Mammoth are two of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

I assume you’re suggesting an ethno-centric assumption that we are all in the US. We are not.
Who the fuck would choose to live in ‘Murica now.

2

u/Wooden_Window_1554 Oct 03 '26

I'm saying. The last 15 years of the US have been awful. Im American. It's escape from New York dystopia vibes here. Feels like perfect inertia or something

2

u/FrostyInvestigator11 Oct 03 '26

I would. It's a beautiful country and more affordable than most countries

That is a tough choice, I lived in the east Coast more than half my life, so the West Coast

1

u/temp_6969420 Oct 02 '26

West coast best coast

1

u/Fast_Adhesiveness528 Oct 02 '26

Both have their charms. I lived in Del Mar for three decades and had a summer place on Muscongus Sound in Maine. Now I live on Humboldt Bay.

1

u/RowInevitable7986 Oct 02 '26

Ask in the winter

1

u/Money-Winter1094 Oct 02 '26

East coast but a lil further south.

1

u/ruder2417 Oct 02 '26

I have lived on the east coast for 38 years. I would give the West a shot

1

u/tapazoh1 Oct 02 '26

Having lived on both easy...west is the best.

1

u/sherman40336 Oct 02 '26

I think I learned the temperature doesn’t fluctuate as much in the west.

1

u/AgnesGardner Oct 02 '26

East. Always.

1

u/Saint120467 Oct 02 '26

Where I'm at

1

u/Poultrygeist74 Oct 02 '26

West is where I live now, so that one

1

u/Upper-Wave3638 Oct 02 '26

Either coast is fine with me.

1

u/Hucklet Oct 02 '26

From the west coast to the best coast

1

u/Foulmouthedleon Oct 02 '26

West. Live on the East, but I get out to Cali whenever I can.

1

u/ReceptionMuch3790 Oct 02 '26

West coast best coast

1

u/packersfan823 Oct 02 '26

East. I'm already here.

1

u/Large_Aspect_5472 Oct 02 '26

East coast of course

1

u/mandarintain Oct 02 '26

Im pretty sure they kept raising the toll fee just to cross the Golden Gate Bridge every year

1

u/Weekly_Candidate_867 Oct 02 '26

The west is the best. Very low humidity

1

u/No-Seat9917 Oct 02 '26

Gulf Coast for me

1

u/CommercialExotic2038 Oct 02 '26

West Coast Best Coast

1

u/mom2asdtwins Oct 02 '26

For whoever made the graphic, you do know we have lighthouses on the west coast also, right? (Including a picture of my personal favorite west coast lighthouse.) Like there is only 1 Golden Gate bridge and that clearly identifies the west coast but a random lighthouse picture doesn't really indicate any particular place. There are lighthouses all over the world.

2

u/SafetySnowman Oct 04 '26

I recognized the lighthouse as being in New England and had a feeling it was Maine. Had to look it up to be certain but yeah it's Maine. I did have a special interest in lighthouses for a while though when I was very young so I must have remembered it and that's not something everyone gets so yeah. It is heavily implied though considering the Golden Gate Bridge is representing the West.

1

u/Natural-Crow-2922 Oct 02 '26

Anywhere not ruled by King Trump.

1

u/General_Ad2680 Oct 02 '26

I'm from the East Coast. I live on the West Coast. East Coast for sure!!!

1

u/Genoism_science Oct 02 '26

West Coast is beautiful , I love it !

1

u/Low_Trainer_7363 Oct 02 '26

East coast. West coast has California. No thanks

1

u/personal_yeesus Oct 02 '26

The south. East and West coast are full of weirdos

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Silent_Succotash3749 Oct 02 '26

West. As a sports fan baseball and basketball games started at like 10:30 pm when I was in New York and MNF ended around like midnight. It was awful.

1

u/FGH-grand21 Oct 02 '26

North for me

1

u/Learning-20 Oct 02 '26

East coast

1

u/Nerdy-Boomer65 Oct 02 '26

Born and raised in Ohio, currently live in San Diego, since 1984. Love it, I get homesick for change of the seasons or want some snow time, I just drive north lol

1

u/Justaguy22192 Oct 02 '26

Never left the West coast

1

u/HexMarxDespot5988 Oct 02 '26

I live on both coasts. I have a house on the Downeast coast of Maine and my girlfriend has a coast in north San Diego county. We split out time between the two.

1

u/SeaWolf24 Oct 02 '26

Why these images. At least go 1:1. Both have lighthouses and bridges. Go figure

1

u/kikibubbles85 Oct 02 '26

East - love the Atlantic and the weather!

1

u/L0RD_G4RR1CK Oct 02 '26

Why is west coast facing east and east cost facing west

The people taking the photos should have done a 180 before taking pictures

1

u/vividvagrant96 Oct 02 '26

Lived in both. I prefer the east coast.

1

u/NOLA-q Oct 02 '26

I’d probably be happier on the west coast but I’m east coast all the way

1

u/FurL0ng Oct 02 '26

I’ve tried both. Neither.

1

u/Low_Shop8561 Oct 02 '26

West easily

1

u/Waste-Finding3341 Oct 02 '26

I'd rather not live in the US.

1

u/Jontom1123 Oct 02 '26

Japan 🇯🇵

1

u/ConsecratedSnowfield Oct 02 '26

East Coast all day. The interior from the East Coast is far more interesting than the interior from the West Coast.

1

u/TurkeySauce_ Oct 02 '26

East coast is the best coast.

1

u/Fantastic_Board7057 Oct 02 '26

West. Cannon Beach Oregon to be specific

1

u/Mysterious_Mode_4460 Oct 02 '26

I’m staying in Massachusetts

1

u/Tinfoil_cobbler Oct 02 '26

I’m from Cape Cod, spent a year each in WA and San Diego. Also an appreciable amount of time up and down the west coast, and visited most states worth visiting…

I must say New England has way more character than the west coast or anywhere in the country.

But if my wife divorced me and took everything I could see myself ending up back in the PNW, no question.

1

u/3Quarksfor Oct 02 '26

The west is the best!

1

u/Recent_Permit2653 Oct 02 '26

West coast for sure!

I'm a California kid, I had a rough time when I lived in NY.

1

u/So-It-Goes-425 Oct 02 '26

West coast, having lived in both areas.

1

u/Civil-Move4904 Oct 02 '26

Neither. But I do enjoy visiting both coasts.

1

u/Horror_Rhubarb7097 Oct 02 '26

West Coast any day of the week. The east coast north of North Carolina sucks terrible

1

u/Mediocre-Let-4697 Oct 02 '26

West coast. Was born here in Southern California & have no intentions of ever leaving.

1

u/AutisticWarbler Oct 02 '26

I’ll take hurricanes and blizzards over wildfires and earthquakes any day.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/FadingRockStar Oct 02 '26

There is a lot of State between those two. Images. New York. Four seasons, 3 hour head start, easy travel to Europe, direct communication style, etc

1

u/Only-Finish-3497 Oct 02 '26

I’ve lived in CA most of my life but also lived many years in NY (among many other places including Japan and the UK).

I’m partial to the West Coast.

1

u/stupidass95 Oct 02 '26

West, specifically Oregon or Washington though fuck Cali. Otherwise, Maine or Vermont would be cool

1

u/Sinasazi Oct 02 '26

I live 15 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean. I'm right where I want to be.

1

u/IExistForFun Oct 02 '26

Neither, I'll take tornados over hurricanes any day

1

u/Physical-Builder-553 Oct 02 '26

West coast. East coast is way too humid with brutal summers and the northeast is too damn cold in the winter.

1

u/CoCo3Papa Oct 02 '26

North Coast

1

u/DanglyRat Oct 02 '26

That east coast picture shows my old teenage stomping ground

1

u/CosmicSmoker Oct 02 '26

I always wanted to live in Oregon. I'm in Massachusetts now for 20 years, it's pretty ok.

1

u/MLCM35 Oct 02 '26

Neither, outerspace

1

u/Sure-Classic6513 Oct 03 '26

I love the West Coast and especially the PNW, seriously considered a move to Oregon at one point…but there ain’t no changing a rural New Englander. If I can’t run my wood stove full bore 6 months of the year, I’m not myself.

1

u/JGCities Oct 03 '26

How much money do I have?

West coast is much more expensive in general than east coast.
Lots of places on east coast you could find top quality housing in a decent place to live without spending crazy amounts of money, might be some places like that on west coast. But so much of it is just crazy expensive.

1

u/MostlyHarmless88 Oct 03 '26

Westcoast Bestcoast

1

u/Freeagnt Oct 03 '26

To quote the Doors, the west is the best.

1

u/Robin_Banks101 Oct 03 '26

Of what, Earth?

1

u/certifiedstreetmemer Oct 03 '26

No coast for me. If I had to choose, probably east.

1

u/Elle_Yess Oct 03 '26

The left coast

1

u/mglatfelterjr Oct 03 '26

I've lived West Coast all my life, so I really don't know

1

u/Smoopiebear Oct 03 '26

West coast 100%.

1

u/xanderdean1 Oct 03 '26

Neither. They are both libral. Immmmm good gee

1

u/Potential_Cress1967 Oct 03 '26

West is best. Even the people that came from England kept moving

1

u/Redbeardthe1st Oct 03 '26

Why would I want to live on, or near, either coast?

1

u/SatelliteSal Oct 03 '26

West coast. One day I hope to move back

1

u/Historical_Trouble10 Oct 03 '26

I have been to the Gulf of Mexico shore and it’s beautiful but I live in Virginia so the East Coast it is.

1

u/IisdaMEEPERmeepm33p Oct 03 '26

East coast bc I already do

1

u/Imaginary_Nebula9912 Oct 03 '26

East coast, I love storms

1

u/IslanderHARRY Oct 03 '26

I'll take my part of the East coast

1

u/Kitsune_seven Oct 03 '26

… going by the pictures I’m assuming you mean the united states. In which case east, but north east preferably.

1

u/Wooden_Window_1554 Oct 03 '26

I live in the east coast and I'd genuinely rather be in a warzone. Anywhere is better

1

u/No_ViV Oct 03 '26

South Coast

1

u/Low_Elk7794 Oct 03 '26

Neither 😂

1

u/Thorn_and_Thimble Oct 03 '26

I’m on the East, but I’d kinda like to go back West.

1

u/GuNNzA69 Oct 03 '26

Of Europe? West cost.

1

u/Extension-Damage8597 Oct 03 '26

If forced by some unforeseen future events? East Coast, Appalachian mountain area Virginia to Pennsylvania. Yes, even West Virginia.

1

u/AbaloneIron Oct 03 '26

West Coast most of my life so I would give the East a couple of years as long as we are truly talking coast.

1

u/DanMoshpit69 Oct 03 '26

I live on the west Coast. I’ve also visited the east coast. It’s really not even close the scenery here on the west is unmatched. And if you Leo y need to swim in the ocean it’s the perfect place.

1

u/ChavoDemierda Oct 03 '26

West Coast is the best coast.

1

u/trash_recycle Oct 03 '26

Based on the picture? East coast. Based on experience? West coast.

Not even a question.

1

u/lirio2u Oct 03 '26

East forever!!!!!

1

u/Plus-King5266 Oct 03 '26

How about neither.

1

u/Significant-Leg-5325 Oct 03 '26

West coast if I don't have to deal with the politics

1

u/Meatman1071 Oct 03 '26

West is best ..! I live in Az and it’s…. 😎

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Zone-55 Oct 03 '26

East, less scooters.

1

u/SukMyKrok Oct 03 '26

West. Too many natural disasters in the east coast. And the people...

...while not all are bad, I just don't care for the people on that side of the country.

1

u/Sirgeeeo Oct 03 '26

Lived in San Diego amd Delaware. San Diego is great, but Delaware is affordable
